Lots of French and Belgium stations coming through at the moment. Joe Fm at rds levels on 104.1 taking out BBC radio 104.2. Most the French stations are solid with rds. Not bad going for me as I only have a dab aerial connected to my Sony SB920 at the moment.

DAB services picked up on my little Roberts Play radio:

DR Deutschland - 5C
9D Norrd West NL - 9D (obviously!) - Very strong signal in parts of my own home, on par with Sound Digital's signal strength in places.
6B Oost-Noord NL - 6B
NDR NDS - 6A
8A Randstad NL - 8A
Norwich - 10B
Herts, Beds and Bucks - 10D
NPO - 12C (wiped out the Nottinghamshire multiplex)
Agder/Rogaland - 13F

Weak signal on 9C, can't ID it at the moment.

A few Germans starting to appear as the weather cools down e.g.

87.6 NDR 2
91.1 NDR 1 Niedersachsen
99.8 NDR 2
101.8 Deutschlandfunk

Earlier on there was a patchy Es opening to Morocco & Spain but MUF was restricted to below 90 MHz.

A shed load of Dutch stations coming in here - 14 miles nw of Dundee.
Radio 10, NPO R1, NPO R2, Sky Radio, Decibel.
NIEW R5 coming in strong on 99.9, just 200khz from Classic FM on 101.1 from Angus tx which is only 8 miles away!
Loads of stations coming in and swamping weak locals - Wave 102 and Central FM replaced.
BBC Newcastle on 96.0 from Chatton and Smooth on 105.2 from Blackhill are usually very weak here but both are coming in with RDS in stereo this evening.

There are now more Dutch, Belgian and Scandivian stations than there are British ones!
I am now receiving ship AIS data on 160MHz from the Swedish coast. At 375 miles that is a record for me. Considering that the ships only broadcast with 12.5 Watts, that is some going.

Getting Peterborough on 12D. Not as exciting as the German, Dutch and Norweigan stations coming in but considering how Leeds on 12D now usually belts in thanks to Emley Moor, it's an achievement to pick it up here.

ETA: 11C has been patchy (Sheffield multiplex), I do wonder if we're experiencing interference with the Dutch national DAB+ multiplex?

Also, this has given me an opportunity to listen to the sound quality of DAB+ stations from overseas (hint - it sounds far better than the 32kbps stations we have here).

I scanned my portable DAB in the front bedroom in my house and picked up some Dutch multiplexes, weren't able to tune into them though as they are DAB+

My stereo is now on 105.7 Antenne Niedersachsen, crystal clear with RDS, it's coming in like a local.

Now picked up:

MTV NL - 5B
7A Zuid NL - 7A

The NDR multiplex I got earlier has gone and the NRK multiplex is now very weak.

on the dab side NRK is getting a better signal, actually its only just off full strength for me, everything else apart from humberside has calmed a little

Now picking up 9D Zuidwest NL as opposed to the Noordwest multiplex. It's struggling to tune in probably because of interference between the two.

Impressive though I can understand looking at the DX forecasts. Sadly my DAB dipole (which is a distribution one for all the residents who live here) isn't working so its nothing more than a telescopic aerial and aiming it out of a window to pick up multiplexes. DTT here is going to be more of a long shot (and nothing on a scan of the YouView box just now).

I have a 5 element external, rotatable antenna for Band III (DAB), and a fixed, multi-element UHF antenna, pointing towards Netherlands/Belgium/Germany. Netherlands TV requires vertical polarisation. The UHF antenna is redundant most of the time, just waiting for conditions like this.

Using this antenna, I've managed to retune the YouView box and have now recorded some of the Dutch TV, having lost some of the UK channels!

Shame your DAB antenna is not working today.

Chris. (Lincoln, UK).

2 meters is a mess, almost every repeater frequency is maxing out my signal meter with what appears to be multiple repeaters from Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands, plus digital hash. Is anybody else monitoring this? I'm getting some weird audio effects, I'm not sure if it's ghosting or co-channeling.
