Ironically I can't get a clear signal on Res104.4 at the moment here in London, because it's being battered by something I can't quite make out... ...actually I can, it's NOS Radio 1 from Goes, Netherlands, which has to be the first international catch to batter its way through the London congestion for a while (not that I bother much with DX these days, minus roof aerial and with masses of electrical interference and pirates).

That's the only international signal I've got, but the band is crammed with distant BBC signals from Sutton Coldfield, Oxford, and particularly Wenvoe (including BBC Radio Cymru on 96.8, totally wiping out Choice FM around here).

I think my normal pirate count has been halved.

Edit: I think you can definitely hear more of them than I can right now.

To confirm, that's playing a mix of female vocal R'n'B / romantic reggae at the minute (interspersed by silence and Windows error noises - sounds like their overnight playlist has gone wrong)...

I've had sod via tropo here (sit's here green with envy) and I was out last night in the car and nothing out the ordinary.

It got up to 95.8 a few minutes ago with stations from Cannes coming through. Nothing now as the Es cloud has got too close.

At one point I was receiving Virgin Radio from La Clusaz (not that far from Geneva) at 920 km.

Good DX!

I've logged 6 stations already but only weak stations between the powerhouses here and it's died down now.

There's thundery rain passing each side of my location as I can hear lightning on the radio so hopefully it will miss us.

Agreed, smorris. I gave up on Es and tropo DX for the same reasons -- pirates and noise -- but it was a pleasure to hear Dutch so clearly last night in London.

It's great to be able to disseminate the latest DX so quickly via this thread. I wouldn't have bothered to tune in last night otherwise.

The 968 is a phone No 968-111-777 I have had that today a few times in the past I'll check later because I can't remember what station it was.

OK, I think it might be from Serbia.

I thought my radio was playing tricks when "R D S" showed up on 87.6, but then I heard the jingle
