IN Brighton tonight French stations coming in and drowning UK stations (eg BBC London 94.9 drowned out by French talk station)
some I have identified
87.6 RMC
91.5 France Culture
93.1 France Inter (same as LF)
98,4 RTL
100.1 French soccer commentary
103.0 Radio Blue, Haute-Normandie
105.6 France infos
106.2 French phone in station.
ALSO many other French stations received between 18.30
and 19.15 BST today-possibly local versions of Radio Blue.

A few minutes ago I had Classic FM on 100.1 (presume from Sutton Coldfield) crystal clear on my home stereo using just a piece of wire in the room as the antenna.

Classic FM on 100.9 very listenable here, indoors on the Tecsun, am I right to assume this would be Wrotham?

More than likely as there are only 3 Classic FM transmitters listed for 100.9 and they are:

Wrotham @ 250 kW
Selkirk @ 5 kW
Dover @ 1 kW

I think Classic FM Dover is on 101.8. I'm now picking up both BBC Radio Oxford 95.2 and Heart Oxford 102.6 on the Tecsun.

Yes good tropo again this morning. Lille is back to 'normal' tropo levels but also DX in from Belgium, Luxembourg and the Rheinland-Pfalz, Hessen and Bayern regions of Germany. Ochsenkopf is currently in on 99.4 and 107.1.

Continental Europe fading back a bit, replaced by a lot of mid to long distance UK-

So far have picked up Heart 100.7 (Sutton Coldfield, RDS), Smooth Radio 100.4 (Winter Hill, stereo), Radio Somerset 95.5 (Mendip, Stereo), BBC WM 95.6 (Sutton Coldfield), crashing into Ummah FM 95.6 (Reading, 50W), Radio Wiltshire 103.6 (Blunsdon, Stereo), Radio Wales 103.9 (Wenvoe RDS), Radio Wiltshire 104.3 (Stereo, Naish Hill), Radio Wiltshire 104.9 (Marlborough, RDS- surprisingly completely knocking out XFM), Smooth Radio 105.7 (Sutton Coldfield, RDS), Jack FM 106.7 (Stereo, Old Knebworth)

I haven't heard many continental stations but I've had perfect signals from Wrotham and other BBC/Classic transmitters.

Just some of the things coming in here in Cheltenham at breakfast time, I'm sure there were more as my nephew got The Bay on 96.9...BBC Newcastle 95.4, BBC Tees 95.0, Capital 95.8, 96.2 & 105.8, Spire FM 102, Kiss 106.4, Heart 102.6 Oxford (not too far away but over the hills!) & 103.4, BBC York 103.7, LBC 97.3, BBC Cymru 104.3, Smooth 106.6, BBC London, BBC Humberside, Viking 96.9, and one I've only had once before - BBC Lancashire on 95.5 - PLUS a first, and my catch of the day - CFM Whitehaven on 103.4!

I think Classic FM Dover is on 101.8.
No it's on 100.9 - Reading @ 500 W and Morecambe Bay @ 3 kW are on 101.8.

In between the pirates here in London, Dutch, Belgium, French and German stations have been good signals on my Eton G8.

I also heard an Austrian radio amateur 3000 ft up a mountain in the Alps. She was only using 4 watts from a hand held W/T and she was working a UK mobile station on the South coast via a Belgium repeater.

Edit:
It appears that you may be right Jack-Uk. There seems to be some contraindication on whether Dover is on 100.9 or 101.8. My Radio Listeners Guide says 100.9 but other listings say 101.8. I think 101.8 is more likely as I would have thought Wrotham would interfere in the Dover area - chalk one up for you Jack.

Fantastic lift conditions over the past couple of days. Kiss from Mendlesham seems to just stay on 106.4, with occasional interference from Capital and High Peak Radio. Minster FM (with RDS), Real Radio Yorkshire (106.2), BBC Tees, BBC Newcastle (quite strong this morning - Sue Sweeney was on air. With RDS too), BBC Radio Manchester (95.1), BBC Lincolnshire (94.9), BBC Northampton (103.6), BBC Essex (103.5), Heart London, Magic, Heart Milton Keynes (with RDS), Heart Luton (with RDS too), Heart Wirral, Hallam FM, BBC York, Stu Bru on 102.1 (with RDS), what I think was Joe FM on 104.1 (whatever it was it was playing 80s music), BBC Humberside, Capital Yorkshire (105.8) and BBC Oxford were recieved from Thursday evening onwards.

The nationals from Wrotham, Peterborough and Tacolneston seemed to be enhanced too.

Yes still plenty of Germans on the band here too:

LUX 88.9 and 100.7 3 bars with RDS
Grunten and Kreuzberg are in
Barbelkreuz with 2 bars 101.0, 104.4, 105.5

Plus others.
