take her to the vet immediately

No vet will want to see an animal in pain or suffering

Explain you get paid shortly and can you pay in installments; i'm sure they'll be absolutely fine with it!

Keep us informed and good luck with kitty x

cheers with it being bank holiday the only vet near us is a animal hospital and there prices are outrageous, 2 years ago my other cat got really sick had to be put down cost us nearly 200quid to have put to sleep because it was a animal hospital and bank holiday and i know they dont accept payment plans.

You need to take it to a vet immediately, 2 days is too long to leave an animal in distress. Our vet lets us settle at the end of the month sometimes if asked.

Then you need to borrow the money, or take the poor creature to the local PDSA, you cannot leave it in distress, and then consider pet insurance, every pet owner should have it IMO, its only a couple of pounds a week.

It sounds like cystitis, My cat had this.
You need to borrow the money and get her to the vet, if its cystitis then its not too much.

Vets usually have out of hours service. A local cat charity may also be able to point you in the right direction.

If only it were that cheap, but you are right that we all need to make sure there is a way we can pay for emergency treatment when our pets need it.

We pay a tenner a month for our dog so I assume a cat would be a little less. I think if someone cant afford to get insurance or to pay for them when sick, then perhaps they should not own a pet, it is the responsible thing to do, no animal should suffer because of lack of funds.

I know that does not help the OP though, she already owns the animal, but it is up to her alone as the owner to make sure the animal gets treated today, if it is something serious the cat could be in great pain.

OP pets at home cannot give that kind of info out, if a animal is in distress then it needs treatment.it is irresponsible of them to tell you to wait.

Call you local vet, there will be one in the area that will have an out of hours service, you are in Manchester, so you should be spoiled for choice ,and get the cat to them pronto.

I'm sorry but people like you shouldnt have pets

When you take on the responsibility of a pet you have to ensure you can cater for not only their emotional needs but also their financial ones.

It's all well and good playing with them and thinking your cats cute but what happens when they do fall ill and you can't help them.

May be tonight you should take a long hard look at whether your in a position to really look after ALL you're cats needs.

I fear right now you can't.

http://www.beechhousevetsradcliffe.co.uk/

They are open 2/7 , 365 days a year, a simple search revealed a lot more vets that are open today as well.

There is nothing more we can do really, it is now up to you to get the cat to one of the vets.

Some people on here are awful, saying i shouldnt have a pet.. i have forked out thousand of pounds for my cats and one time i carnt afford it i get put in the dont have a pet category.

Some people should be ashamed of themselves.

Clearly someone who doesnt read posts...

At what point did I mention you were a bad person? Very strange you thought i mentioned anything to that effect.

I just fear the cat you love so dearly is in desperate need of vetinary attention that you cant find anyone in your life to help you out? And yet at 14.12 you post...

''carnt get pdsa''

Why can't you?

As 2shy2007 mentioned there's nothing much more we can do or say. I do find it interesting though that you've done EVERYTHING you can apparently yet people on here seem to have done more in terms of giving you advice/tel numbers and websites for you to pursue yet you still have time to post on here saying 'people should be ashamed of themselves'

I think pet owners who can't afford vet bills when required is shameful. And I find it even more embarrasing when they chuck out of the advice they're requiring and find excuses to not to act on it (i.e. cant do pdsa, everything's closed, cant ask anyone for ££, dont do paypment plan)

It smells a bit 'off' to me...but whatever the outcome I wish your cat is a speedy recovery, that's the main thing here

Much luv

Perhaps you shouldn't be so judgemental...

I think the OP hasn't got the means to get anywhere or pay anyone right now even though they are asking for help. They are obviously stressed. Let's hope you never run out of money one day.
