Father in-law has a problem with his vinyl ION quick play flash convertor, when trying to record tracks to the laptop, it starts recording but the software stops the recording at exactly 1 minute and 1 second! no idea what is wrong, anyone on here no what the problem is?

Thanks in advance

Are you using the windows recorder?

Use this if you are it's free and will do the job.

Sorry, what is a 'Windows recorder' as I mentioned he uses the supplied software for windows and he had to open a Itunes account as this is where the recordings will be stored so I don't know if the link to the other software will work with all this, some more advice would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Windows Sound Recorder

This vinyl to iTunes tutorial uses Audacity

For reference this is the EZ Vinyl/Tape converter

The Windows Sound Recorder that comes with XP and older version of the MS operating system has a time limit of 60 seconds. It sounds suspiciously as if this is being utilised to record with.

what is the solution to this problem? Is the software wrong? I
currently have exactly the same problem, and cannot get to label the tracks recorded. Ion don't want to know. Unticking
the "tracks" box allows the recording to continue, but then you
cannot separately label the tracks

Use Audacity (free download), this has no recording time limitations.
