I'm really disappointed with Sheivonne there. She doesn't exactly slag luke off but she won't put herself out to say anything nice about him, and they seem to have spent loads of time together. I will be a bit gutted if she nominates him. Caroline is just being Caroline. She never seems to have a nice word for anyone outside her own group.

I thought Shievonne was better than that and feel a bit let down on Luke's behalf. Shievonne, decent enough housemate that she is, tries to be all things to all men but there is a risk to that strategy. She will eventually be sussed as someone who will agree with whatever the person she is talking to thinks.

As for Caroline, I really dislike her. I find her mean spirited and utterly lacking in empathy. Having said that she is a good HM in that she provides controversy but I would still like to see her gone if she was up for eviction.

I see that Luke's favourite housemate was Mark Henderson. Didn't you love him too WD?

Hardly. It's sickening.

Agreed. She comes across as an entitled, spoilt brat- who has been pampered and has never had to consider anyone but herself. Although she has a lot of confidence, she's never funny or witty, despite her attempts, which seem to exclusively involve putting others down - comparing someones IQ to that of a pineapple, isn't exactly the height of wit She seems to confuse sneering sarcasm with intelligence, which for someone who in constantly putting other people down for lacking it, she doesn't appear to have it in abundance herself.

Anyway, I'll stop with the character assassination now, I probably have an irrational hatred of her due to that I went to an all girls school and people like her were 10 a penny, coupled with the 'crazy' hairstyle to reflect their 'zany' personality :yawn:

Thank you Zeebra I'm surprised Nikki Grahame is so popular, I couldn't stand her. I didn't watch last years BB so I don't have a clue what Mark Henderson was like.

Great if we see it but I suspect we will only see the other one that hulakula has put in spoilers..

Funnily enough I started off loathing Nikki but grew to love her before she was evicted.

I'm interested about your all-girl school experiences in relation to Caroline's attitude to life. She is typical of the ghastly creatures at the school that both my sons went to. (It was an independent grammar school). My older son stayed the course but the younger one couldn't wait to leave and go to the state sixth form (where he was much happier). It was girls like Caroline who made his time there an utter misery.

Yes, how random is that? There was something about both of them that suggested rather troubled people who had learned to be ultra-nice to everyone in order to deflect general cruelty and nastiness. Mark seemed terribly extrovert and Luke seems introvert, but underneath I think both of them are fundamentally nice people who have learned that the world can hurt. .

Will be nice (I hope) to see him doing something more fun than cooking and listening to other peoples' issues.

I hope he doesn't get enough nominations this week. Three weeks is far too soon to lose him, without feeling that he has ever had the chance to show his quiet qualities in a smaller house.

I seriously think he will struggle if he is up in a vote to save and I'm worried that Caroline will be able to whip up enough nominations for that to happen. I'll be on tenterhooks tomorrow till we know (anticipating the worst but hoping for the best).

BTW I see that guy is back and rolling his eyes and attacking some other random person!

The secondary school I went to was grant maintained, however up until 2 years before I joined, it had been a well established fee paying school. A lot of students (and parents) didn't think those of us who weren't from wealthier backgrounds had a right to be there. I don't want to come across as an inverted snob. as there were plenty of nice people from rich families, however there was a clear divide between students from richer backgrounds and those of us who wouldn't have been able to afford the fees.

People who were like Caroline seemed to exude confidence in themselves and seemed to adopt an elitist attitude, due to being told how special they were and how much better they were to everyone else. They had very little tolerance for people who different to them or didn't think they were wonderful and reveled in making them feel small and marginalising them.They never seemed to appreciate people who did nice things for them, as in their minds, they're entitled to it and treat everyone else with contempt.

Despite the fact many of them were far less academically able than us and didn't work as hard, they thought they were far more intelligent than us and entitled to
rewards, just because of who they were and because they had so much more confidence. Caroline seems to be keen on commenting on how stupid other people are but she has never demonstrated a high level of intellect.

I apologise for the boring and long winded post I hope I haven't gone too off topic. Caroline just seems to think she is superior, which seems quite unfounded.

I hope they show this, on tomorrow nights highlights show.

Thanks for the explanation hulakula. At my kids' school there was a distinct difference in attitude between the privileged kids of very wealthy parents ( businessmen and the like) and the kids of professionals. The rich ones were Caroline clones, driving around in BMWs at 17, and lording their parents' wealth over everyone. They systematically picked off victim after victim (always from the "nerdy" groups) and I came to hate them.

I can see aspects of this behaviour in Caroline but I sincerely hope she is not going to direct her barbs at Luke as he hasn't done a thing to warrant it. Not that that will stop her of course.

I hope that Lauren, Luke, Adam, Benedict, Deana and Shievonne can start voting tactically as a group otherwise any of them are vulnerable.

I knew a lot of people like that too and Caroline reminds me of them. I hope she doesn't target Luke or hopefully the others don't follow suit. We don't want a repeat of Rachel vs Luke/ Bex ect

Yes they should form a pact, I think they all have an axe to grind with Becky and they don't seem to like Arron either. I think Becky is likely to be up for nomination, however I hope other housemates don't target Luke, for the reasons that Caroline mentioned . However, I'm not sure where Shievonne's loyalties lie, as she seems to be trying to please everybody.

I know and he was shown in the diary room. He's getting a fair bit of airtime tonight and it was nice to see him sticking up for Lauren, he seems so genuine and empathetic
