I'm unsure, had a look online via google but only found some software called Samsung PC studio which was last updated in 2009..

Just wondered what is Samsungs version of Ovi Suite/Itunes etc? Thanks

It's not really a big deal for me to be honest, just want some way to put my music on a little easier than cut and paste, Cheers though lads!

Not had a problem with it. That said I only use it for updates connected. I use kies Air for most other things and find it OK.

no offence, but what's so hard about copying and pasting, or dragging, music into the media/music folder on the phone?

Nothing, I'm just incredibly lazy (Even though I go to the gym 7 times a week and lift haha) and want something that will sort it a little better than standard cut and paste.

Dragging and dropping is so easy. Granted that Kies has been awful for me and I'm not using it, I actually find dragging and dropping really easy and straightforward. I had an iphone for 4 years and used itunes easily enough, but I much prefer doing away with software alltogether.

You could have a good point here. I play online games like World of Warcraft and I have a fairly old PC, so less applications the better for me.

I know what you mean, an instant sync as soon as you plug the phone in. However, I can connect a Galaxy Tab via mass storage, select the songs from my computer, copy them and paste them onto the SD Card, then disconnect the Galaxy all before Kies has loaded and found the connected device. It truly is horribly coded.

I bought a SGS3 to replace my iphone 4S. I have a mac only house. Lovely as the phone is its going back and I am going back to my iphone as the SGS3 syncing and integration is mince compared to the iphone. I shall patiently wait for the iphone 5. Cant be bothered with drag and dop nonsense.

You should cut back visits to the Gym, they are wearing you out if you find drag and drop tiresome lol.

Of course, why do the simplest thing in the world when there's a convoluted and time consuming way of doing it?

I have an 80gb video ipod, it was pretty much a paper weight until I installed trans control, so could actually use the damn thing the way I wanted to (by dragging and dropping, you guessed it).

Kies is an awful piece of software, but it is useful for backing up stuff such as contacts etc.
Other than that dragging and dropping to an S3 is really the simplest thing in the world.

Well copy and paste is a hell of a lot easier and quicker than any software

As an example if I buy some music on itunes on my mac its already on my iphone and ipad. I need not do anything.

I fi buy some music on amazon or itunes for that matter and want it on my samsung I have to buy it, connect the phone and then drag and drop the files. Also the Android mac file trasnfer sofware is a bit iffy not to mention kies which is the worst piece of software I have ever seen. I deleted it instantly.

If I take a photo on my iphone it is instantly in iphoto on the mac. If I take a photo on the samsung it goes to dropbox and then I need to import them from dropbox to iphoto.

I can live with the photos but the music is a pain.

Another thing is all my contacts are in icloud not gmail. Too much work!!

If the iphone 5 is really poor I may reconsider going back to the samsung as it is a really good phone.

If you live in Apple land and everything syncs how you like it, a move to Android may have been the wrong move for you.
I suppose you could try Double Twist on your computer and AirSync on your Phone.
I can't say if it's any good as I don't personally use it, but, a couple of people have mentioned it and said it worked fine.
Hope you sort it so you can use the better phone....

Forgive me for saying, but refusal to use drag and drop is a damn petty and extremely minor reason for not using what is a cutting edge, superb handset.

How about using Google Drive, everything stored in the cloud and synching takes seconds with wifi or decent 3G.

Some would call it freedom and literacy.

Wife looks at my Galaxy with a glint in her eye.. "That's a nice phone" she purrs " And my 3gs is so old now..."

I explain how the music gets on to the phone..

"Sod that, I'll wait for the iphone 5"

Don't Android 4.0+ devices support MTP? Surely that can be used to give iTunes-esque plug-and-sync capability?

(Unless Samsung have disabled MTP on the S3, which seems daft)
