There are some Lydia-related things I want to keep track of, so I'm going to put something about them here.
In last night's highlights, we saw Lydia give Deana some perceptive and good advice about the booing crowd and how to respond, but Lydia (understandably) struggled to follow it herself when she saw the reaction to BB's exposure of the rule break about Conor and nominating her and Deana.
There was a
Facebook story about it that said this:
Quote:
“...
As punishment Big Brother has taken away the hot water with immediate effect. Luckily, a visibly shocked Lydia bee-lined for the bath she had already run, leaving the other housemates to roll about the living room floor in fits of laughter.
Possibly in mourning for her perceived popularity, Lydia then dressed in black and sat alone in the garden for a good five minutes murmuring, "Do I really need this in my life."
Unfortunately, no one noticed and she rejoined the housemates preparing for tonight’s party.
...”
"No one noticed" while she was in the garden?
BB seems unable to talk about Lydia (or any housemate, really) without putting in lots of spin, but this time there seems to be an out and out falsehood as well. For a
tweet mentioned this:
Quote:
“She is being comforted in the garden by Luke A, Lauren and Adam.”
Note also the spin in these other tweets:
Quote:
“6.29pm: Lydia is sitting alone, sunglasses on and hood up. She's just asked herself out loud, "Do I really need this in my life?"
6.31pm: Lydia having a quiet cry to herself. Does anyone else care that it's Not Her Birthday”
I wonder what, if anything, the highlights will show.
I noticed that they didn't show her saying anything in the DR about Benedict. Yet as Luke A went in for the session we saw in last night's highlights, a subdued looking Lydia went past. (Had she just been in the DR?)
Another thing from last night's highlights. When she's giving Deana advice about the crowd etc, she says this:
"people are doing things in here that are proper (then a word I couldn't get), like really bad, like ... If people don't see that, I can't, we can't help that."
I wonder what she had in mind. There's an awful lot we don't see, without a live feed.
