Yeah, it's not looking great. I'm still holding out hope that the likes of Caroline/Scott/Sara/Ashleigh don't nominate her as they've never seemed to have an issue with her personally, but relying on them isn't a particularly comfortable position to be in!

I never expected her to last the distance and she could have gone after three days so I'm just pleased she's still there

Still got my fingers crossed for Monday

I think it's a shame that we have no live coverage this year so that we could see more of Lydia, and not just the things the producers want us to see.

But she could have gone in week 1. In a way, every day since is a bonus.

Thanks!

It's interesting that it says "And Andy has also played down his own celebrity status, telling users he is 'not actually famous' and that Lydia 'is fully aware I'm no A-lister'."

There are some Lydia-related things I want to keep track of, so I'm going to put something about them here.

In last night's highlights, we saw Lydia give Deana some perceptive and good advice about the booing crowd and how to respond, but Lydia (understandably) struggled to follow it herself when she saw the reaction to BB's exposure of the rule break about Conor and nominating her and Deana.

There was a Facebook story about it that said this:

Quote:
“...

As punishment Big Brother has taken away the hot water with immediate effect. Luckily, a visibly shocked Lydia bee-lined for the bath she had already run, leaving the other housemates to roll about the living room floor in fits of laughter.

Possibly in mourning for her perceived popularity, Lydia then dressed in black and sat alone in the garden for a good five minutes murmuring, "Do I really need this in my life."

Unfortunately, no one noticed and she rejoined the housemates preparing for tonight’s party.
...”

"No one noticed" while she was in the garden?

BB seems unable to talk about Lydia (or any housemate, really) without putting in lots of spin, but this time there seems to be an out and out falsehood as well. For a tweet mentioned this:

Quote:
“She is being comforted in the garden by Luke A, Lauren and Adam.”

Note also the spin in these other tweets:

Quote:
“6.29pm: Lydia is sitting alone, sunglasses on and hood up. She's just asked herself out loud, "Do I really need this in my life?"

6.31pm: Lydia having a quiet cry to herself. Does anyone else care that it's Not Her Birthday”

I wonder what, if anything, the highlights will show.

I noticed that they didn't show her saying anything in the DR about Benedict. Yet as Luke A went in for the session we saw in last night's highlights, a subdued looking Lydia went past. (Had she just been in the DR?)

Another thing from last night's highlights. When she's giving Deana advice about the crowd etc, she says this: "people are doing things in here that are proper (then a word I couldn't get), like really bad, like ... If people don't see that, I can't, we can't help that."

I wonder what she had in mind. There's an awful lot we don't see, without a live feed.

It was disappointing that we didn't see her say anything about Benedict- don't know if she went to the diary room but I saw her in the background too as Luke A went in, I was wondering if she'd just been comforting him

Instead we got to see Conor and co expressing their amazement that Luke A and Benedict were close

I love Lydia faults and all. Her only chance it to be up with more than 1 houseguest. If its just her and Deena she is gone by a big margin I would think since the public doesn't know what they are doing.

Well Lydia v. Deana is what we've got. As much as I really want Lydia to stay - I find it hard to want Deana to leave, particularly after tonight's show. I'd expect Deana to stay - and I'm sure a lot of undecideds may back her after seeing how she's been treated. Suprisingly pro-Lydia audience on BOTS tonight though

I'm just hoping at some point in the series Lydia, Deana, Luke, Adam or Lauren will triumph over someone like Conor but I can see myself losing interest if current trends continue

I don't want either of them to go, but since we seem to be stuck with this choice, I'm voting for Lydia to stay. I find her more interesting.

Unfortunately, Conor will be smirking whichever one goes, especially since they'll probably both be booed.

Like last weeke it's another no win eviction no matter the result. Think Lydia's likely to go. Whoever stays will be up again next week (probably against Laure or Adam.) What a horrible series it's turning into.

After a quite pro Lydia highlights and BBOTS, does she have a chance to survive the on friday?

I think maybe, but she needs more...

This is a bit weird.

There's an article in the Star in which Lydia's quoted as talking about bullying and saying "What’s happened to me and Deana will happen to everyone. People are being picked on."

Well, we saw her say things like that, though I can't remember whether it was in the highlights or on BOTS. But the article also has her saying this:

“It’s two houses within a house.

“The psychologists knew exactly what was going to happen.”

The psychologists? Presumably in one of the talks she had on the way to becoming a housemate. But I wonder that they said would happen.

(Of course, the Star isn't a very trustworthy source, but still.)

Looks like it's anti-Lydia night on BOTS.

Leading negative questions from Emma. Nastiness from Natalie. Pushing the "famous boyfriend" button and others. "Housemates have her sussed" etc.

Never going to be much positivity with Natalie on the show. I can't stand her- I stopped watching after about 5 minutes, only lasted that long because I wanted to see a bit of Sophie.

There wasn't much Lydia on the HLs either sadly. I don't think there's much chance of her staying but I've voted for her, which is rare for me this early in a series. My main hope is that 'Get Conor Out' chants drown out ones aimed at her

Good luck to Lydia for tomorrow. I like them both but Lydia will be a bigger loss to the show than Deana. I'll be sending a few votes her way.

29-06-2012
But they did all say they wanted her to stay over Deana, didn´t they? Atleast tha´ts what i heard.

Well almost all...

And even 2 out of 3 panelists said Lydia is gonna stay over Deana. Sophie was the only one to disagree.

It might be closer than expected, so every vote counts.

And i wish i could vote for her, but the facebook app is blocked from outside of UK.

And calling is obviously a no no.

Pretty depressing eviction tonight - not so much the predictable result (better she lose out to Deana after the week she's had than one of the other lot) but the ridiculously over the top crowd reaction.

She handled herself well though and I'm looking forward to the BOTS interview - Emma seems to like her, and hopefully Benedict still will too

I think she handled the booing better than just about anyone I've seen.

Yeah, she barely even acknowledged it - just got her point across, the louder the crowd were the stronger she got. Reminded me a bit of the Shannon twins earlier this year

And so the killing of entertainment and BB 13 continues on...

Thank you Lydia, you were an excellent and a first class housemate !

And you will be missed...!!!

Commiserations all. Lydia was phenomenal.

I've just tweeted something supportive to ASL for him to pass on.

I'm really disappointed that Lydia was evicted I can't believe that the morons in the crowd were so hostile towards her, especially as she has never been nasty like some of the other housemates and has been entertaining them for the last 3 weeks
