Wish me luck everyone - OFSTED starts today.

BTW, don't think unappreciating even begins to cover OFSTED. We need a new word!

Good luck durnavarian. Hope all goes well...

Just a quick unappreciate at the weather in general this week. Its too mixed, first its wet, then its sunny, its been muggy for the last 2 days at least and that means I have problems with sleep... grrrr

Also the situation at Wimbledon - have a feeling that a certain person might win it this year....

I assume you mean the certain brand of mint... he's not a favourite here either. It's a good job that wimbledon isn't decided by phone vote or Glasgow bhoydy/ Tom (whatever he's currently calling himself) would be on a campaign to get everyone with a vague scottish connection to get behind him

PS- good luck durnovarian

Id forgotten about him.... (thanks that has amused ...)

Do you think we might have to put up with him for Strictly this year?? (or did he get himself permanently banned?).

Actually if Wimbledon was decided by phone vote, Federer or Nadal or Djokovic would win hands down....

Come on Tsonga!

Thanks for your good wishes - one day down, one to go... Just wish they wouldn't keep their cards quite so close to their chests - we could be doing really well, really badly, or anywhere in-between for all we know!

Can't say any of the current crop of tennis players does anything for me. They all seem to be either super-ego-brats or really boring, and none of them even floats my boat looks-wise either. I'll stick with rugby players...

Can I just unappreciate Ebay ?

I have just had a 10 minute conversation with someone who was about as much use as a chocolate teapot. After going round in circles for ages with him/her not listening and me not understanding his/her accent, I just gave up. In fact I think it was a robot.

DEEP unappreciation of the news that JD is to judge Superstar. Previously one of my favourite musicals. Still, maybe Dawn French will sit on him if he starts rambling on.

To think that A Ll W has apparently banned trite comments! Yet hired him!!

Mind you, after A Ll W's bad-mouthing of The Voice I could maybe boycott the whole thing!

I'd like to unappreciate some of the w*ankers at the torch relay today. Got there just over an hour early (as advised by local rag), not that many people there at that point so picked a great spot at the front for the kids (I stood behind them so that there would be plenty of room for other little ones to see). 5 minutes before the torch arrived, loads of people converged, blocking the view of mine, and several other kids. Luckily the police pushed them back. Then while trying to take some photos of the procession I got knocked flying by a bloke who had barged me out of the way to get a picture & when I swore at him he said "Don't get so uptight love, it's only a little flame." So why barge me out of the way then

Sorry to hear that. When my Mum and I went to see the flame on the first day in Bodmin (Cornwall), everyone was really well behaved. There was no barging and crashing but have seen scenes since then that you describe.

Hope your little ones weren't too terrified.

Nah, they have their mum's attitude and the older 2 aren't quite so little (8 & 11). My youngest (nearly 3) is the most forthright of them all though.

I think it must be an Ipswich thing. Never had this problem in Norwich (where I lived til 21) at public events but every firework display, suffolk show etc since i've lived here has been a nightmare.

Phew!

I am sooo glad you are all still here? Am I allowed back in ? Been doing 70 hours weeks so no time to play any more.

I tried another dance forum on a whim the other day and was appalled. I thought they'd be like you, but they weren't and it wasn't.

Got so exasperated I left, and then some silly bint tried to ban me for being too feminist

I feel safe here. I can be me

Sofa, you know you're always welcome here!

Re: Wimbledon. It might not be popular opinion round here, but I hope Murray wins if only to cut out all the "will it be Tim's/Andy's/wossisname's year?" and "It's been 235 years since a Brit...."

Plus I'm not much of a Federer fan. I appreciate the skill, but somethings missing. I had the same with Sampras.

Thank you!

I love tennis, I do, but Minty's got about as much personality as a used Tesco carrier bag and none of the others do it for me either. I end up staring at their legs which, these days, are the best bits.

I would seriously like to unappreciate Pete Sampras I feel it all went downhill from him, not only did he look like a gorilla he was so blooody good no one else got a look in then all the dishy men just up and left leaving us with people who thought if a gorilla can win so can I.

I hope Murray wins because he might give up then allow someone with better looks and personality to come to the fore. If he keeps almost winning he might feel the need to keep going.

I would also like to unappreciate MIL again, as always she is poisonous and appears to have taken over every spare moment of all her relatives lives

and ALW who thought Jason would be able to go 5 minutes without platitudes which means I may not enjoy a show with 10 lovely young men as much as I could

I can't stand Murray or Federer so I don't care about the outcome. I am getting annoyed by a lot of media outlets still misreporting that it's 70 years since a brit reached the wimbledon finals instead of correctly stating a british man. Poor Virginia Wade, victory so easily forgotten to make a stat sound more interesting

PS- Welcome back Sofa <mwah>

I watch for the tennis! Not the personality, looks or legs....

Yes poor Virginia Wade, nothing like the media to bolster a story by omitting a few facts here and there.

I just love that Jonathan Marray beat him to it! Seemed to have a more engaging personality too. I do hope he and his partner change their mind and keep competing - it was a joy to watch them.

Prefer RF to PS any day, but agree RF always seems a bit bland. (Matthew Cutler also ran.) (Just to stay on-topic!)

Agree about Virginia Wade always beign forgotten, also Jo Durie and somebody (Jeremy Bates?) winning the mixed doubles. (ETA Not to mention a certain Jamie Murray winning the mixed doubles in 2007!! Short memories these broadcasters...)

Unappreciate waking up at 2.30am needing a wee and being unable to get back to sleep! (Especially in the post-ofsted zombie-state.)
