That would make a change Dale. I would like to see that happen!
All these frozen cams while they are doing secret filming had better be worth it!!
Emmerdale in my opinion has never been so bad. I am debating whether to keep watching it!

My latest reply from ITV

The Emmerdale production team are currently updating the technology infrastructure of the village set, as such the web cams are not available at the moment.

Why can't they put a message across the screen so we know what is going on?
I hope when they are back on they have cut down that ivy or whatever it is. It is only going to get worse and spread all over the camera lens!
Thats what I have just been doing in my back garden. Cutting down all the growth of weeds, mint and branches on the plum trees. This rain has made everything grow like mad including the lawn.

That's what they mean by updating their technology infrastructure

I think that would be more exciting that listening to Mucky Marlon drone on.

A bit of music while you have a long long long wait for the cams to come back on.

Yes it looks like it was chucking it down. I remember that it was either on Saturday or Sunday I think because the Test match at Headingley was abandoned for the day after that downpour. My husband was watching it on TV.

Hi RG. How are you? It is so quiet on here when the cams are not working.
Do you think that we will not have them again? They don't seem to be in a hurry to do whatever needs to be done to get them on again.
Did you see the closing ceremony last night of the games? I thought it was really entertaining. I recorded it on my SKY + box so that I can put it on a disc to look back on in future years. I will never see it in this country again. It has taken 64 years since 1948! I was one year old then. I don't remember it!

Morning Val. I'm fine Thanks hope your keeping well.
I only watched a bit of ending as I had to go out but as you say its an historic period that wont be repeated for a long time,
we could all be in the bone yard next time round.
the outlook for the cams is looking bleak.I can't imagine what storyline would warrant all this time to have the cams closed, I know some of there story line's drag on a on bit but this is ridiculous.

.
Going back to the Olympics, the opening ceremony is being repeated this Saturday afternoon(18th) at 1pm. I have got my SKY+ box set up to record it. It doesn't appear to be the full version though as it has had 30 minutes at least cut from it.
I could have kicked myself that I didn't think to record it on the night.Never mind. Again I am putting it on a disc so if you would like a copy of this and the closing ceremony RG just send me a private message with your address and I will gladly post it off to you!
Thats if you are interested in having a disc with both of them on.

Yes I expect that is the reason. It could be ages before we will have the cams back on.
Its the same at EE the cams are still showing a still of Billy holding the torch!! That was weeks ago!
