Hi guys.. HELP!

I'm graduating next week, and as always.. have left finding an outfit until the last minute! I'm an 18 on top and 16 on bottom (very large chest, curse you back ache) and we have to wear dark skirt / trousers and a white blouse. Now, the dark trousers aren't a problem, but being a busty girl I haven't worn a blouse since high school!

Any ideas on where to look and how to avoid that awful blouse gape?

Thank you!
Tara

I would recommend Evans or Bon Marche for blouses. I had the same problem when I graduated and being in the same situation as you it was a complete nightmare.

I still hate wearing blouses and I know Bon Marche is aimed at older people but you can usually get decent fitting white blouses in there especially if your budget doesn't stretch to Evans prices.

In your sizes, which aren't on the 'big' side of plus size, I'd have a look in TK Maxx, as they sometimes have decent designer style wear that is priced well - When you're looking for something as basic as a white blouse and black trousers/skirt, you might hit lucky!

I give Evans a wide berth these days (considering that they closed the shop in the city where I live!), but I've also found them to be not as good quality these past few years.

I use Simply Be, and you can shop online with a 24 hour delivery, I think - The quality is usually good (read the customer reviews within the product description) and the fit is also usually safe.

Bravissimo do nice blouses to accommodate the larger bust - Not cheap, but stylish and no blouse gape.

I hope you have a fabulous day on your graduation - Congratulations!

Also, if you have a large Marks and Spencer where you are, they do 'suitwear' sort of stuff, which will definitely come in your size - I got some nice cool white blouses in there last summer, not expensive at all and non-iron.

Bravissimo for properly fitting shirt, I would definitely recommend. Only shirts that I have ever owned that didn't strain on the buttons or look baggy and frumpy have come from there.

Yours clothing online is also worth a look. They can be hit and miss but have some really great stuff. Good prices too.

I second Bravissimo/Pepperberry, although their sizes are all over the place so if you can go into a shop to try it on it would be better.

I wore a red dress to my graduation we just had a smart dress code.

I'm so glad! The Bravissimo label Pepperberry have great stuff. It can pricey but the quality's excellent. Puts a dent in my bank account whenever they have a new collection!
