I've got a day ticket for download on Saturday, I've never been to a festival and have no idea what to take as the weather looks like possible rain, any advice please?

Make sure you take wellies, water proof clothing, blow up mattress for the inside of your tent (makes the night so much easier) sleeping bag. Food and drink as everything WILL be overpriced Don't worry too much about your battery going, a lot of festivals have little tents were you can pay to get your phone charged. Rip off I know but comes in so handy. and ALCOHOL. Hope you have fun! Last year we took like a chest bag thing with a nozzle on to put our alcohol in as they sometimes don't let you into the arena with your own so we just snook it in.

Edit: just re-read you're only doing the day so don't take no notice to the tent and sleeping bag stuff

I live a couple of miles from the site and at the moment it is pouring with rain, we also had thunderstorms yesterday evening, so imagine wellies are essential.

Okay I know it'sprobably gonna be wet but take a hat and sunscreen just in case. My first year at V, I forgot these and ended up burnt as a crisp on my face. . .skin peeling, very unattractive.

Oh and that antiseptic handwash for when you have finished in the toilets.

Wellies and spare socks, decent raincoat, tissues, hand sanitiser and plenty of cash for extortionate food and drink

Bin liners are good, can wear them if rainy or use them to sit on, plus handwipes/spray & loo roll is essential imo

Have fun! Saturday lineup is really good
