Cheryl and Ashley's marriage was really weird though. The entire marriage seemed to see Ashley on the front pages every week being accused of having it off with someone else!

It just seemed so strange that he would constantly cheat yet since they split you never hear anything about his personal life.


On the subject of people being asked to marry someone as a cover. I can see it working if they are paid millions in return. If the said persons can afford it and want something keeping secret then its very plausible. Stay married to me for 5 years and you will net, lets just say, 5 million. Its a fabulous offer.

He is single and he is no longer part of a celeb marriage. Why would they write about his flings?

Although I don't doubt that Cheryl's PR used his affairs to create the image of the poor, wounded sweetheart. But that doesn't make the marriage an entire sham.

So her hometown ITV affiliate would have SuBe at 4pm and CC at 5pm to lead into the local news at 6pm.

But imagine the PR and publicity for Cheryl, since SuBe and Cheryl would go head to head with BBC Radio Newcastle's early-evening line-up (and the kids get something to watch).

Or maybe it's because Ashley is a single man and can do what he likes now - so it wouldn't be worth reporting as he wouldn't be cheating on anyone.
