I see Sid Perks has died. Again! Presumably the actor Alan Devereux was poorly when the character was written out.

I've only just realised that he was previously married to Kathy! How awful for her to lose two men to the same woman. Mind you with her droning voice she'd drive anyone away.

I see the guy from Poland got a quick mention in yesterday's episode. Do you think there is a chance he could return?

Is the Polish guy who has some information about Rob the same one that Adam had the fling with?

Is it Pavel? I had the name Stefan in my head but that's probably wrong. If it IS Pavel, I wonder if Ian knows more than he's letting on, with regard to the father of Spawn

That thought crossed my mind too.

No, you're right. The one Adam had a fling with was Pawel from a few years ago. Stefan was the one who was working with Rob. Ian was talking about Pawel. Maybe he suspects that Adam had a fling with him (I wonder if someone mentioned that they had?)

Didn't Rob tell Ian about Pawel just before Ian and Adam's wedding? I thought Ian was just trying to put the wind up Adam by mentioning him. I reckon this must be Adam's favourite time of year, when all those young, foreign pickers line up for inspection He's such a sleazy old goat I'd be very surprised if he didn't cheat on Ian again at some point

How unfunny was that story about two sisters fighting over Sabrina's (I think they were hers) jogging pants at the jumble sale? Yet Fallon really did seem on the point of pissing herself laughing

Oh blimey so he did have a thing with Pavel. I had forgotten. He's a bit of a slapper our Adam isn't he? Who would have thought.

Adam is a slag. Not surprising he took Pawel up the polytunnel.

Does anyone remember what actually transpired between Adam and Charlie?
I have literally forgotten. There was a lot of sentimental will we / won't we, and then a sugary farewell, I remember that.

I don't agree. For one thing, I'd bet there are more than enough listeners who either know or suspect that you don't just wander in to a Registry Office with no proof to register anything. I think too many listeners will have experience of registering a birth or a death and know you need evidence for them to fudge that. However much dramatic tension they want to build, the showrunners aren't daft and they won't want to lose credibility at this stage when they've done better than most soaps at keeping it so far.

And I don't think they're pro Robert at all, I think they want to make sure they're giving him enough rope to hang himself at each stage of the storyline. I expect him to have some kind of - hopefully incriminating - meltdown when he discovers that his baby is an Archer.
I suspect he'll lose his temper and man-handle Arsula, forcing her to take Henry and run to the Archers for shelter ....

He will eventually take something out on Arsula I think. There's already been tension whereby he's spoken very roughly with her.

Perhaps he'll deep six her

I think the sugary farewell was pretty much it between Charlie and Adam, with regrets on both sides. Adam must think he's got away with all his past sluttiness - just as long as he can keep it in his pants around all those muscular young pickers. I really, really want Ian to make the dirty dog sweat a bit before telling Adam he knows all about Charlie and Pawel, and then leaving with half Adam's assets.

What is the matter with Adam? Why would he seek the compnay of others when he has the "fragrant" Ian at home?

You mean flounce off and take his ball with him?

He has lots of oats to sow, like Brian... even though they're not strictly related.

With Charlie I think there was also a bit of class solidarity.
Always get the feeling Adam sees Ian as an Irish cook, not quite up to his standards.

I couldn't think of a better word than assets, though I could see there'd be scope for innuendo - I was going to say fortune, but wasn't sure if Adam's that wealthy.

Adam wants to have his (red velvet?) cake and eat it

They had a new year snog, then lots of sighing and longing over the next few months before Charlie left.

It was so funny. My eyebrows went up a bit when I read the original post, and you could tell people were pretty shocked PMSL when postit explained it was a typo

I love the character Ian.
I love Ian too - he's far too good for slutty Adam. He doesn't have to go far; I'd really like him to stay in Ambridge and get together with someone else so Adam could be reminded regularly of what he'd thrown away.

That would be great, much as I'd hate to see Ian go.

Doesn't Adam have a financial interest in Home Farm now? It would be pant-wettingly funny if Ian got half of that. Imagine Brian having to consult Ian on agricultural matters!
