Not Brenda, the one who took over from her. Anthea I think her name was.

How is he recognised anyway? It's radio.

What would these people say if you sat them down and explained it's a play, recorded in a studio? In fact, why would it need explaining - the must be total retards.

Worrying more like that there are people out there who can't distinguish between reality and fiction.

There were pictures of 'Rob' and 'Helen' all over the media at one point in the story.

Oh Lordy - Brexit vs Bremain tonight. There's no getting away from it.

I think the 'agricultural editor' had a mardy and demanded a farmery episode.
"Sileage is made from grass". No shit Sherlock!

Looks like Lilian has consented to mistressing.

I think the storyline has been excellent, and the way it's done against a backdrop of "innocent" village fetes and shepherd's huts has made it even more resonant. The actors playing Rob and Helen have been superb, and if The Archers was eligible for the soap awards they should have been nominated for the best partnership award.”

I love that you put innocent in inverted commas Lakie. Do you suspect that these mundane activites are not so innocent and are in fact a cover for something sinister?

Consented? That's putting it mildly! She was well up for it!

It was only a matter of time before she asked him I reckon.

Does anyone else suspect that Rob and/or Steven will have tried to pay off someone to ensure the case goes their way?

That would be a very risky thing to do. They could go to prison if they tried to bribe someone who then reported them for it. I'm not sure Rob would be that stupid. Although . . .

Imagine. Would be a great twist if the case was going very badly for Helen, Rob being discovered of perverting the course of justice, and the judge subsequently ordering the jury to acquit Helen

Who is Steven? The only Stephen I can think of is St Stephen - the village church!

Was a bit worried there, when Helen was losing it with Jack - I thought the woman who helped her worked at the unit and would say Helen was flaky. I think it was a kindly con though Hope she can talk some sense into Helen.

I hope Phoebe gets into Oxford and is never heard of again. Just knowing she's asleep in her bedroom after a marathon swot annoys me -she doesn't even have to speak

I'd forgotten all about the new road thing that could cut Brookfield in half :

Oh right. Thanks. I wouldn't have thought he merited a name but I suppose that means we are going to hear a lot from him.

A lawyer wouldn't pay anyone off, unless he wanted striking off and a term in prison for Bribery and Corruption.

She will get in and we will never hear the last of it. Jennifer will be insufferable.

Hopefully her new friendship with the MBU inmate will see Helen thinking a bit straighter and not so frazzled about everything.

Rob is unlikely to get custody of a new born unless he can prove she is a danger to the child. I really felt for her when Anna was updating her on what was to happen - Helen may not like it but I cannot see how she can avoid granting Rob supervised access to Jack.

When is the tide going to turn for Helen?

Lilian was like a cat that has got the cream this evening and was dying to let Jenny in on her little secret!

Nothing more sinister than one-upmanship and bitchery!

Especially not as she's just on remand. If she'd been convicted and was doing a 5 stretch that might be a different matter. I think babies can only stay in prison with their mothers until they're 2, and a court might take the view that it would be better for a child to go straight to the parent that they're going to live with long-term.

But as she's not guilty of anything atm, and she's breast feeding, I can't see it myself.

I wonder if Rob will take Henry to see his little brother? And will he keep his cool in court if he doesn't get custody of Jack?

I suppose it might make sense for both applications to be heard at the same hearing as they're closely connected.
