Bit of a damp ending to this story....

My mum's dog (currently living with me) looked a bit startled at David's "We will fight them on the beaches" ham-up.

That was so pathetic - having the Brookfield lot worried to death about the farm being halved or whatever for one measly day

David seemed quite overcome, you're right WL - Jill needs to stoke up her stewpot pretty quick.

But as she's not guilty of anything atm, and she's breast feeding, I can't see it myself.

I wonder if Rob will take Henry to see his little brother? And will he keep his cool in court if he doesn't get custody of Jack?

I suppose it might make sense for both applications to be heard at the same hearing as they're closely connected.”

Just how brilliant would that be.

Its surely a testament to Timothy Watson's and Louiza Patikas's acting skills, that I cannot stand either of them, yet I am gripped by this storyline.

I had a peep at next weeks Radio times, it says An angry Rob visits pat and Tony with a suggestion. Is that him going to be be more amenable about Henry in return for seeing Jack?

Oh Lordy, I hope Pat doesn't dissolve into a mess again.
She needs to regrow her spine when dealing with Norman Bates and his mother.

Cue more whingeing from Pat then.

I'm not sure it's appropriate for the key prosecution witness to make "a suggestion" to a prosecution witness who is the defendant's mother. Rob can be very threatening, he could intimidate her.

I hope he gets all shouty and scarey with them, she has to report him to the police, and he gets done for interfering with a witness. He'll then have destroyed his credibility, and it will be easy for Anna Tregorran to rip him a new asshole when he's in the witness box.

Actually, it's a shame Tony got rid of the bad-tempered bull. He could have accidentally got out, and trampled Rob to death.

I don't know what the suggestion was, I was just thinking it was the sort of thing he might do in desperation to see Jack.

I thought he already had a new one as a result of the stabbing?

So Rex is trying to pretend he is interested in farming methods so that he can have his wicked way with Pip, is he?

Really wondering what made Rob so angry that he has to go and visit Pat (next week's spoilers) to make a suggestion. Doesn't sound good to me.

. Llandrindod is a strange place anyway. It's a Victorian spa town plonked on a bog in the middle of nowhere.
I get a distinct feeling of "This is a local town for local people, there's nothing for you here!" whenever I'm there.
Perhaps the Ambridgers will have more luck. New Tom might get used like a ragdoll by one of the feral mountain women

As a Welsh man, only you are allowed to say that.

Helen clammed up when New Tom asked her how Rob always got his own way

Has anyone actually sat her down and explained the very grave consequences of not exposing Rob?

In other news, Lynda is morphing into Hyacinth Bucket up at Ambridge Hall.

I thought New Tom would get more out of Helen than he did, but at least Helen is starting to talk. She will have to get a move on though as it takes a while to prepare the defence and at the minute Anna doesn't have anything much to go on.

Anna did try to explain to her early on what would happen if Helen remained silent.

Is Kirsty allowed to visit Helen or is she in the same boat as Pat regarding being a prosecution witness?

Still no mention of her going to see Jess? When is she going to reveal that little nugget of information?

Kirsty is a witness for the prosecution so she can't visit Helen. Such a shame as it was Kirsty who was getting through to Helen.

I love the way they're portraying Helen's fellow crims e.g Kaz and her kids Jayden and Courtney!

And those are the ones we know about. She's probably got a Taneesha and a Shanice tucked away somewhere.
Helen Archer teaching Kaz Stereoptype-Overload about rural birdsong

Perhaps Kaz can teach her about rollies and microwave dinners.

Hurrah for Pat! Fantastic ending there, up against Tony's appeasing guff.

She's absolutely right - how dare the depraved scum turn up and start amending the court order he insisted on.

in other news, why is Clarrie in a permanent state of shrill alarm?

I don't know what's wrong with Clarrie lately, all that huffing and pufffing She always sounds as if she's about to burst into tears. Maybe all those years of putting up with Eddie and Joe have finally caught up with her
