But Jennifer darling will take her side. Except she won't be happy that phoebe walked out to Roy.

Hi anndra_w

Corrie has lost its way hasn't it? I'm surprised more people don't listen to The Archers.

Is someone new playing Kate? I've never minded her before, but the way she was speaking tonight was ridiculously over the top. All that 'like' and 'cool' Does anyone really talk like that??

Brian would hit the roof if he knew about her yurt festival. I hope her hippie mates didn’t trample his corn or anything.

I think it's great that it's still picking up new listeners after all these years.

Mr Lakie claimed not to like it, but he often chuckles when it's on and is really starting to engage with the characters. He's coming round, and has been overheard telling members of his family how good it is.

I think this happens when you live with an Archer's listener. I have listened all my life so in the years when I lived in student accommodation or house shares my flat mates were exposed to it too, as were long term boyfriends. They all started by making rude or cheeky comments while humouring me and putting up with my odd Sunday morning ritual.

Then bit by bit over the weeks and months questions would start to crop up like.. Who is this talking now? How is this one related to that one? Who are they talking about? etc. Everyone I ever shared a home with is now an Archer's listener too.

He'll get his comeuppance eventually, and when he does it's going to be soooo good. Anna Tregorran will hang him out to dry. He's going to be so angry, his rage will cause earthquakes in Borsetshire.

I wonder if Arsula will see the light when it happens, or if she'll still think he's wonderful?”

Oh I hope not. I live quite nearby.

You need to go round there and give him a piece of your mind

Hello <waves>
Welcome to the Archers and to our glitzy thread

Hope you find that we are fairly well-written too, and quite lifelike on the whole

Heehee yes was pretty spectacular . I think Gareth Bale is such a sweetheart - so smiley and positive whenever he's interviewed.
Above all, I'm thrilled all three competing home nations are through to the next round - how cool is that?!

Haha.... NO
They haven't mentioned it much on the Archers have they, probably because it's pre-recorded and the match outcomes can't be predicted.
They've had referendum mentioned, but that is a definite fixed event.

They may have Rory back for some quick ROI-love.

This egg business is seriously doing my head in! Think I would rather watch the football!

I hope we get to hear the rollicking that David is going to give the odious Josh though.

That boy needs taking down a peg or two, and Toby Fairbrother is a very bad influence on him.

Now hold on a minute!!!!! Nothing is THAT bad!

I wonder if they will do a special scene to acknowledge the referendum results?

It was mentioned tonight, by David I think.

Meanwhile Rabid has done sterling work with 'ickle Henry, the ratbag.

Yes, I'm liking the transformation of the angelic Henry into an evil little monster. A good case study for nurture over nature imo.

Long term, he's got the makings of a difficult, troubled teen which could make for good listening in another 10 years or so. Too many of the Ambridge youth are goody-goodies. The occasional dabble with weed and older boyfriend, a few tantrums and they seem to emerge into pretty well-adjusted adults. (Except for Kate of course)

That's not the experience of most of my friends who are parents. It seems to be at least 2 years of raging hormones and rebellion per child for them.

I think I've got off lightly so far. I had no trouble with my eldest daughter who is now 20, and my almost 17 year old son is still able to twist me round his little finger I think my youngest who is 11 will be the one we have most difficulties and tantrums with
