I imagine Rob might find himself answering charges of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice. At any rate his reputation would be shattered. He and his family would be chased out of Ambridge by a mob wielding torches and pitchforks while the audience collectively play their microscopic violins.
I still want to know what he did to the culvert. Ihope he doesn't go before we get to the bottom of the drains.

The continuity announcer was funny after Friday's episode when he said that Miranda was a bit slow on the uptake! He'll be getting his own show next!

Judging by Miranda's comments about Justin at the Awards Evening, I think she would not be at all surprised to learn what has been going on.

Is that the continuity announcer from Trinadad and Tobago or St Vincent or one of those islands? I love his deep velvety tones. Makes my toes curl!

He's excellently impersonated on Dead Ringers too.

Anna really ballsed up that phonecall with Helen.
Helen (emboldened by her chat with Caz) was ready to open up then clammed up immediately when Anna began questioning whether she was the right barrister for the job and saying stilted reassurances like "It will take time and courage, but if you can, if you want to tell me, I'm here.".

Stop making it into such a huge deal. If I had a problem and someone said that to me, I'd be instantly cautious and wonder why I'd have to be 'courageous'.

Why do the children in The Archers sound as if they are in a different studio to the adult actors? Do they record their lines separately and have their voices dubbed in later?
To me they always sound that way.

Oh dear Bruce is coming down.
Rob will have to vacate the Oedipal bed and lay off the bitty for a while.

I know the one you mean but it wasn't him - it was the same guy who is on duty today. He was making comments today about keeping Rob waiting ('Can't have that can we?') and then about Rob's father coming to visit ('Not another Titchener on the scene!') He's a hoot!

I remember Phil Archer on desert island discs saying he had never met his "grandchildren".So yes I guess that does happen.

Rob was funny tonight when he said he was going to get one up on Pat and Tony by taking Henry to see wild animals, instead of boring old sheep and pigs.

I'm really looking forward to Bruce's arrival. I hope he's horrible to Rob and Arsula

Well I never. Good for you. I never heard of a man who crocheted. I have come across the odd one that knitted and a fair few who sew but crochet seemed to be a peculiarly feminine craft. I am impressed.

Ha
I'm a bit of a mix like that. Played rugby and lacrosse, but also love baking and crochet.

Yes. Always have done since they started using real children instead of adults pretending to be children, very badly.

How long have we got before the trial - a couple of months, is it? They're going to have to speed up the slow drip feed approach a little, as far Helen gradually disclosing what actually happened and Rob gradually giving himself away, or being ratted out by Horrible Henry goes, but at least they've made a start.

I thought we had heard the first part of the telephone conversation and was waiting to hear the rest of it later in the programme. But no, that was it. I was left wondering what was the point of the call, but that would make sense if Helen had telephoned to start the process of informing Anna and then took fright after Anna's ramblings and said nothing.

Perhaps now, they have more confidence in each other and next time they speak/meet it will all kick start.

Yes this does make sense. But I do have to ask (and accepting that this is a radio drama where some license is obviously allowed) aren't barristers paid to listen to their client's instructions and carry them out accordingly (even if they think they are a load of nonsense)? What on earth is the point of them interjecting with their personal feelings and points of view, this certainly won't move a case along
