Perhaps Welsh-Lad will let us build our own when we go to his place for the DS Archers Convention.

Poor Shula. She seems really sad. I thinks she's seen which way the wind's blowing with Lizzie and the doc.

Caroline says 'ya' instead of 'yes' She really is super posh isn't she? I see her pal the Duke of Westminster has died. I wonder if she went to the funeral.

I hope Lizzie makes Freddie go to the rough, scary college and doesn't pay for him to go somewhere leafier. It could be the making of him

Was out earlier and one of the first things I did when I got home was listen to tonight's episode.

Anyway now Anna is well and truly out of the closet, I began to think about Helen and Cazz.

I think its all a bit far-fetched that everyone and their granny is so deeply concerned about another prisoner which is disappointing as everything else has been quite credible (imho).

Of course my only experience of prisons is that my late husband was a prison officer but that bit just does not ring true to me.

What do you folks think?

Count me in for The Archers Convention btw.

It seemed quite natural to me that Pat and the others were concerned about Caz because she's been such a good friend to Helen. I'm not sure how much they care about Caz herself - Pat only seemed to want Caz back at the MBU so she could support Helen during the trial.

I'm glad Caz is back with her baby anyway .

I agree that it felt like they were laying it on a bit thick with Pat's concern for Kaz, but -at the risk of sounding brutal- Kaz looks to be a necessary plot device to get the scales to fall from Helen's eyes, so the writers need to keep her front and centre until that happens -and other people talking about her is the only way to do that unless we're always at the prison.

As I was listening to it I thought that it was just a plot device really, to let the listener know what was happening in Caz's story. Was a bit shocked when one minute Caz's baby was fostered and then in a flash they are both back in the MBU after a prison board meeting rethink - all a bit rushed! It probably is as you say just to keep Caz as an integral part of Helen's story

I think they are paving the way for Freddie to go off the rails and get into "bad" company.

It's going to be drugs - mark my words. Didn't we have a brief story where one of the young ones was caught smoking, drinking, glue sniffing, drug taking or some such before? I have a vague recollection but can't remember the details. It may not have been Freddie it could have equally been a young Archer or even Kathy's lad.

She's not done him any favours by paying for him to go to posh school. He's turned into a snob. I did laugh at the suggestion that at the 'rough' school he would be exposed to drugs. We have a very expensive school near us and it has a bad drugs problem - mainly because they're the ones who can afford to buy them. The pupils from there are some of the worst behaved I've noticed too.

I think Freddie was caught smoking dope by Roy, while he was at the Cathedral School.

I wonder what Lily's like. I don't think we've ever heard her.

Yes that sounds right. Roy was involved I remember now. Lily is a goody two shoes.

ETA - Come to think of it Elizabeth was a troublesome teen if I recall correctly. She was the wild child before Kate took her crown, although was never as bad.

It was Kathy's lad Jamie who went off the rails like that but he got better.

Yay Caz!! In one sentence she has done more to bring Helen to her senses than poor Anna.

Adam will NOT work with Rob. Are Brian and Justin about to have a showdown?

Oh, I hope so. Will he be prepared to lose money though? The showdown might be between Brian and Adam.

If Brian does grow a pair, it will put Lillian in a difficult position.

Has Rob definitely got the job? I know he's told Charlotte and Pat, but I can't recall hearing it from Justin. And does Lillian know yet?

I like to think he has definitely got the job, just to make his eventual fall from grace -whenever that may be- that much greater and all-encompassing: career and private life both ruined.

I'm also really hoping Stefan comes back into it somehow, rather than leaving it to just the listeners knowing about the culvert-stuffing. To coin a phrase.

Edit: what is up with the quote function?

Yes, his humiliation would be total now that at least half the village know about his wonderful career opportunity. He'll be so enraged he might burst his bag.

I'd like there to be more on him, too, and I've been convinced that that culvert wasn't blocked by accident ever since the night of the flood. The fiddling of the milk figures at Berrow Farm still has to come to light, too.
