Indeed, looking forward to this week. The Archers is my guilty secret ever since a good few years ago, when I stumbled across it while changing stations in the car.

And I nominate {{{{{ drum roll}}}}} .... Kate Aldridge.

When she's all done with rebalancing her chakras, she will have an epiphany and realise that her previous relationships failed because her partners had a Y chromosome.

She will skip blithely off to the beat of the bongos and start dancing at the other end of the ballroom.

They annoyed me too - I wanted them to be told to leave.

No thanks, but I'll have a couple of large spicy rums if you're in the chair thanks

But Helen's second stab does mean that she did commit the offence of 'loss of control', rather than just acting in defence of Henry?

Whether that is provable beyond reasonable doubt is another matter.

Or maybe Shula will realise that the reason she's not really happy with Alistair is because she's preferred women all along

Maybe she'll be found guilty of the lesser charge (I can't remember what it was) and will have served all or most of her sentence on remand.

I do find the logic of that a bit bonkers to be honest. If you are under attack and are attacking in self defence how are you supposed to know how many stab wounds will stop your aggressor? Are you supposed to stab once and wait to see if s/he falls down before hitting again? Meanwhile the grab the knife and kill you?

Talking of dinkies - a lovely summer one is a campari americano cocktail.

Shot of campari, shot of sweet vermouth, some ice crushed with a pinch of sugar, poured on ice cubes with some soda water, slice of orange.
Ideal for listening to Archers in the garden

Mind you I would need a weapons grade one to keep me calm when Rob is 'testifying'!

I'm opting for Helen with either Anna or Cazz.

Helen is such a rubbish judge of men, so maybe.

If Anna comes up trumps in court, I really see that as a possibility.

I didn't listen, I knew he would lie. I am really scared he will get custody of both boys.

That's another battle after Helen's acquittal.
If she went down for attempted murder I think he would automatically get the boys.

Don't blame you for not listening - his snivelling and phoney sobbing were pretty sickening.

Long term, I'm sure that won't happen. However, there could be a short interim period where it looks as if it's going to (or even actually does) while we all tear our hair out, shout "How can this happen, the &£$&****&%!" and then the decision is revoked pretty damn sharpish.

I didn't get as annoyed as I thought I would. I think I've got Rob fatigue now, so I tend to roll my eyes when he starts talking rather than getting wound up.

O/h agrees - says they've laid it on so thickly and for so long now, he's become pantomimized.
He still gets to me, though I know that will make my glee at his downfall more enjoyable - so it's swings and roundabouts.

Rob makes me laugh when he goes off on one.
