Regarding the road story line, as much as I obviously enjoy The Archers I actually want the road to be go ahead for them to have their coziness inflicted upon.

Let's go the whole hog - Peggy's other cat gets run over, Clarrie gives everyone noro-virus in a cheese pie, Adam tries it on with Charlie and gets kicked in the knackers, Pip comes back and has perfected her whiny voice, and Jennifer's kitchen falls down a sinkhole caused by fracking in Penny Hasset, leaving only an Aga lid and a portion of tiled wall behind!

It's just so weird putting a face to a name. 9 times out of 10 the face is WRONG

Something that's been bothering me recently is Emma and Ed's perennial poverty. They moved in with Neil and Susan to save up and yet they still never have any money. They both work and aren't paying any rent I assume and yet Ed can't even afford to buy anything for Emma's birthday without resorting to heading to the pawn shop.

How are they ever going to be able to afford to move out though Ed seems to think a couple of stints on the tractor for Adam and Emma baking cakes for Loxfest will sort them out.

Perhaps they have a drinking,or gambling problem we don't know about.
After all living with Susan has got to be quite corrosive for the soul.

I am very shocked

I'm not given to shouting at the radio, but I yelled "please make it stop!", towards the end of tonight's episode. If it hadn't been the last minute, I would have switched off.
I absolutely hate the way the show is going. I realise soaps have some unlikely storylines, but this & the whole Loxfest plot, along with numerous others is utterly ridiculous & unbelievable.

Elizabeth was all - 'I feel the same, I love you...' - while she was still in the bedroom, but the minute the fresh hair hit her she realised it would have to be a beautiful one off. Well, two off really - think you're right and there could be more to come for Roy. Lizzie could get away with the same line a few more times
