Me too. I want it to be harsh, universal, relentless and ugly.

In the thirty odd years that I have listened this has to be the worst episode.

Ahhh yes, Mr. Sunnydays and I count the number of times he gallops across the Cornish countryside. Recording Victoria of course.....

Admittedly I have only experience of one attempted murder trial in The High Court which lasted for four days. A cross-section of people were there but nobody behaved like those people.

Of course, maybe we take things more seriously in Scotland.”

To be fair Diamond they had been sitting for 5 days and had at least twice been excluded from court while procedure was hammered out. Once for the issue of the twit that twatted and once for appealling for Jess's evidence to be heard. The jury would have been sent to a jury room for that so would have had time to get to know eachj other a bit.

Rob now needs to
- be evicted from Blossom Hill
- have his job offer from Justin retracted. Nothing has been signed
- be hounded off the cricket team by the players
- be refused goods and service from Ambridge businesses

And these are the inceptive, mild sanctions.

They sought clarification from the judge and were advised that they could reach a 10-1 verdict. The foreman was asked: 'Have you reached verdicts on which at least ten of you are agreed?' so it's ambiguous as to whether it was 10-1 or unanimous for each count.

Tony also said something about 'if they find her not guilty on one count, they have to find her not guilty on the other' - I don't really understand how that could be the case otherwise what would be the point of the lesser count?

Absolutely. No point what so ever having two counts if one negates the other.

Now I figured out my problem with Poldark. Aiden is playing Ross Poldark in the style of Heathcliffe! The dope has read the wrong book.

I'm going to mentally consign this episode to a bubble that doesn't belong to The Archers' canon; it felt too cliched and stereotyped even for TA. I know it's good to have a variety of opinions, but too much was shoe-horned into an hour. I'd rather not have had the episode at all.

I felt it was jarring from the outset. It immediately descended into bickering and acrimony, there were too many voices, all unfamiliar to us of course,

There was nothing subtle about it, unlike the way many of the story's other elements have been.

I did like Jackie though - thank goodness she was there.

Thanks. That sounds far more satisfying than tonight's poor pastiche of "Twelve Angry Men'

Sorry Venetian for being so fierce.

If you have read further back you would have seen I was furious........and even your post annoyed me.

I've recovered and will block that garbage from my mind permanently.

Hope you forgive me. xx

To be fair to me, I was still raging when I typed that post.

Apology above.

It's Joe's birthday this week - he's ninety-five

Anyone else think he's going to have his heart's desire and cark it before he leaves Grange Farm?
