Well Charlie is in Scotland - now wouldn't that be irony overload if he and Ian hooked up Am-dram Adam would have to lose some of his carefully rounded vowels in a howl of angst.

I'd rather boring Adam went and for Ian to stay.
I also want an angsty gay self-discovery / coming out story for someone... eg Harrison or Johnny, though it's been done to death in soapland and might be too Hollyoaks for Ambridge!

Or the vicar! Peggy Woolley couldn't deal with a female vicar, god knows what the bigoted old bat would make of it if Alan came out.

With a bit of luck, it would finish her off.

Bloody hell, how deluded can Rob get? Even Arsula has a better grasp on reality than him.

It's his narcissistic personality disorder. He truly believes what he's saying.

He's going to love it if that comes out in his psych report. Of course, the psychologist will be a total idiot, in league with the Archers, if female, taking Helen's side because she's a feminazi etc.

Which will then confirm the psychiatrist's diagnosis

Rob's scenes are the best thing about The Archers atm.

I'm such a bad bitch that I want him to suffer, then suffer some more, then a bit more suffering after that.

I want him to be ostracised, lose the job offer, be physically evicted from Usha's property and to be prosecuted for anything and everything possible.

( I'm not that vindictive in real life folks.)

I couldn't agree more. It's a fantastic story line and Rob is such a great villain. The rest is quite dull in comparison not that I'm complaining.

I want all that to happen.....and more. Does he stand a chance of overturning Jacks name When Helen got custody?

He wouldn't stand a cat in hell's chance of changing Jack's name because it would require both parents to consent and Helen won't.

How can Ian listen to Adam's urgent, breathy nonsense without laughing or throwing up or something

I am disappointed Ian took Sleazy Bollocks back

What a decent bloke Ian is. I hope Adam sorts himself out. Ian deserves better, and I'd Like him to be happy.

It only needs one signature on the change of forename form - either of Mother/Father/Legal Guardian and it has to be done within the first 12 months of the baby's life. No changes can be made after the baby has been baptised as the names given at baptism have to stand. Rob would also have to show that the new name was in current use and that the baby is known as (in this case) 'Gideon'. So technically it is possible, as he is the Father of Jack and still has legal rights.

Can't remember, did Helen put 'Titchener' as surname on the birth certificate or 'Archer'?

I stand corrected.

Wouldn't a birth certificate be required?

I'm pretty sure Jack is an Archer though.

Definitely Archer. That child is Jack (can't remember) Archer, and always will be.

Actually, given Jack is an informal contraction for John it could be argued that is not a proper name?

I remember Rob saying that his solicitor had told him he had no chance of success in changing the name.

He must think it's very sexy as he clearly can't resist him In fact Adam must be hot stuff as he seems irresistible to a lot of men.

I know I'm in a minority but I'm pleased they're back together
