I reckon within a couple of years she will have bumped Alistair out of his practise and Shula out of her stables and home and be a perfect fit for Rob. Shifty little minx!

Toby seems to becoming Rob in embryo, it's always someone else's fault.

I think perhaps the shoot is going to open Justin's eyes when Rob starts berating the beaters...

Rob was so awful tonight that if I posted what I really thought of him I'd probably find myself on an involuntary holiday from DS.

I hope he upsets someone at the shoot so badly he ends up picking lead pellets out of his arse.

Yes and I was disappointed that Adam didn't make good on his threat not to work with him. Rob was really really enjoying having someone to bully again. Must have been hard for him in the last month. URGH

Adam got quite defensive when he realised that Justin might be involved. Adam really back tracked then, I think he understood that not working with Rob means they might lose the contracting work. Rob is certainly going to make Adam sweat - I almost felt sorry for Adam and he is not one of my favourites!!!

Someone needs to take toerag Justin to task about the employment of Rob.

Easy question "Why are you employing the man who raped Helen Archer?"
If he comes back with
"That didn't happen"

He should be asked
"Are you saying Helen lied under oath in court?"

Though I suppose as others have said, Rob's shortcomings swill soon present themselves, as people are wise to him and will be vigilant.

I agree. I think something will happen at or as a result of the shoot. How will Jennifer having to serve up one of her wonderful lunches to the man who raped and abused her niece? She'll get Lilian onside, and she'll soon put Justin straight.

Then there's the potential for him to behave badly at the hunt, and we know that Shula won't cover up for him again.

I know he was awful but I love it when he's in an episode. I love a good baddie.

I am hopijg for rather more. I am hoping that being remployed by The Estate (Damara is it?) will be the catalyst to bring his other sins into the light. I forget them all now but there are several thgreads of suspicion left dangling.

I remember the culvert of course I will remember that bloody culvert to my dying day even if I live another 60 years!

Then there was the dissappearance of the worker - Steffan was it. His reappearance would of course provoke two story lines.

Then wasn't there something to do with the accounts, or the purchase ledger or some such.

And finally the bones found in the feed (was that it) that caused the botulism outbreak at Berrow Farm.

That's quite a potential rap sheet.

Oooh yes! Good call.

The cooking of the books was to do with dairy records, iirc. I think he was trying to make the milk factory look more productive than it was, or something. If my memory's working, Charlie sussed it and grilled Rob about it, but never got the opportunity to take it any further before he was unceremoniously despatched to Scotland.

I believe he's still working for Damara though, so he could hear about Rob's return and start sowing seeds of doubt.

Charlie could also be instrumental in bringing the tampering with the culvert to light. He knows that the culvert was blocked with a feed sack, and he and Adam might put 2 and 2 together.

While the villagers might just tolerate a sociopathic rapist in their midst, if it came to light that he was also responsible for flooding half the village, he'd be totally persona non grata and could possibly even face legal action if it could be proved.

We really need a definitive map that shows where this bloody culvert is, too!

The bit of dead dog that ended up in the forage harvester is a bit trickier though. I can't recall where Rob was working then, I don't think he was at the Bridge Farm shop.

This corner of the forum needs an official archivist to keep track of all this stuff!

The thing about THE CULVERT is that some people do know. Remember that David and was it Jennifer (?) were going around gathering information and Stephan approached them and told them about Rob blocking the culvert.
Stephan didn't want to go public on it, so they told Charlie that one of the employees saw the culvert being blocked. I don't think Rob's name was mentioned to Charlie, but David and Jennifer (or was it Lynda?) know.

The announcer made me smile last night.
"Do you put ice with that?" she said in response to Toby's revolting-sounding infusions!

She probably knows her way around a G&T!

I think it was David that got a snippet of information about the culvert. But think it was one of those situations where he won't realise it is significant unless he has another two to add it to.

Is it just me or did rob used to be more circumspect about his ghastliness? I seem to remember that it used to be all behind closed doors and he was all smarmy-charmy in public. Amazing how he was trying to lord it over Brian and Shula,

Hubris, and it's going to be his downfall. He seems to have Justin in his pocket (for the moment), but when Adam and Brian refuse to work with him.....

Ooh, How about Adam being totally fed up with having to work with Rob so persuades Ian to take the job in Scotland and goes with him, only to bump into Charlie. They talk about Rob and secrets come to light..

I'm investing way too much into a radio soap!
