I download the podcasts but am quite far behind, I haven't even got to Christmas yet!
My parents have listened to it all my life so it has always been on in the background on a Sunday morning. I find it one of the easiest things to listen to, there is no naff drama like in Eastenders, the characters are all likeable even the ones that are horrible you can't help liking. Unlike Emmerdale they have kept to their farming roots and have kept to what it was originally based on.

Amy's behaviour is appalling towards Usha but she won't see the light until it's been proved to her that Karl is married as she's still in denial and transferring her anger.
I think something is going to happen to the cow that Alistair confirmed was pregnant the other day. It's one of their favourites and loved by either Josh or Ben - can't remember which one. The cow will either be dead or seriously injured and so the intimidation increases.

It is great to see other fellow archer fans on this forum.
I have been listening for nearly 18 months now and do enjoy it. Although I only have been listening to the omnibus Have missed quite a few but only have just started listening again. Any clips online of past episodes that I missed in recent months |

As far as I can see, catch-ups only go back 7 days but I'm no expert on finding things like that. If you're stuck on something, I'm sure someone will answer.

I don't listen to 'The Archers' either - but many do! I think it should get some credit somewhere.
I remember (as a child in the 60's), my mum listening to things like Mrs Dales Diary and Waggoners Walk. I can still hear their theme tunes NOW! |

I loved Susan and Lynda's reactions to the Will and Nic "sex tape". Also, poor Ben! Was it Lynda's monster who got the ram or the guys that have been intimidating Ruth and David?

I thought this was a great summing up (although I'd add just like EE will run and run too
I know it's had some iffy times lately but all soaps do and I have faith!)

I love that The Archers always threatens to have a violent/disaster storyline, but it all turns out ok in the end. The Open Farm Sunday was hinting at mass murder and arson, but ended up being a few bulls running around.

He's a better parent to Phoebe than Selfish Kate is.

I couldn't believe that David didn't call the police immediately after the first threatening phone call. As a witness, you don't keep quiet about witness intimidation. I can't believe that David could be so stupid.
I only listen to the Archers occasionally, but every now and again they try and 'spice it up' with big, soap style DRAMA!, and everyone hates it so why bother? People want Linda directing a play, someone losing a cat and Susan being a social climber, not people dropping off roofs. |

Is anybody listening to Ambridge Extra? It's the best series so far - series two was so bad I gave up listening. |

Elizabeth came to visit David after the fire. She offered to look after Josh and Ben, but David wanted the family to stay together. Elizabeth then told him not to give up.
I'm enjoying this series of AE too. Can't wait to hear the next episode, especially after the cliff hanger on Thursday. |
