If anyone can remember the proportions, I'd love to know. Even if the other 3 only get half between them, that cuts David and Ruth's share massively.
Maybe David and Ruth will rent a farm elsewhere, and leave the odious Pip to run Brookfield for a salary. That way, they'll still be able to get an income from it.”
David and Ruth could try the Woody Allen/Mia Farrow Solution. When Brookside is cut in two by the road (or whatever), David could stay and farm one half and they could sell the other - allowing Ruth to buy a little farm near her mother

Mike and Betty were ok, but I always think it's odd they called their children Roy and Brenda - these names must have been really old-fashioned when they were born. I bet there aren't many people their age with those names.

Haven't heard her whiny voice in a while. Have they mothballed her for a bit? Wouldn't surprise me as the actress was dreadful too.”
Pip is a madam. Didn't she have a thing with an older guy and worry her parents to death? It would be good if she could switch her course or whatever she's doing to somewhere near Granny Heather

I love Freddie at the moment - I wish he was on more, throwing tantrums and making Elizabeth squirm

Faithless git.”
He really is, but I love him lately. He was so funny when the kitchen was being fitted. Brian seems much more down to earth and less snobbish than Jenny I think. He's happy to have a drink and a chat with anyone, and while I reckon Jennifer really wishes Alice hadn't married Chris the smith, Brian doesn't mind at all
