The character is staying, it's just the actress who is leaving.

They are! When Rosalind goes, the part will be recast.

But it will not be the same.
It is like recasting Ken Barlow So just will think it is odd. She has such a great accent as well so think it will be honourable if they killed Clarrie off. That way it can give Eddie plenty of storylines in dealing with his grief and struggling to cope. |

It's the end of an era in The Archers tonight. According to Inside Soap there will be a shock death.
Who will it be? |

Shame. I was hoping that James had had a relapse with his broken leg.

They are line up Darrell for another Christmas death. Then we can get on with proper stories more in fitting with the ethos of the programme.

I now wonder if his clumsiness and tiredness will be found at post-mortem to be down to an undiagnosed condition such as leukemia? |

I don't mind whether Darren gets better or dies, I just can't stand him as he is now. It makes for depressing listening.

I don't know whether Darrell's wife Ilona has officially left but I think she should be at least mentioned, it looks pretty poor that she seems to be oblivious to his suffering, no matter what their relationship was.

And everything she's said since then makes it seem obvious she is. Surprised Lynda hasn't worked it out! |

I'm in. I'm a few week behind at present though. Need to catch up on podcasts! Has Helen gone full-on psycho yet?

myself at him and his tedious goings on. Exposing Shula's sanctimonious, self righteous, intensely self serving and selfish character simply isn't enough.Quote:

Absolutely loathe Darrell. I assume he is going to die but it would be nice if someone gave him a proper, vicious toecapping first.

Did anyone listen to the Archers Extra. Brenda and Dimitri was a bit risky I thought. Anyway, don't tell me what happens in the omnibus edition, I haven't listened to it yet. Darrel is becoming very annoying.

I'm glad that this thread seems to be popular, even though I only resurrected it, I'd be interested to know how long other people have listened, I am 45 and have been listening for three years, although I did used to listen on Sunday mornings when I was 14, I remember this Clarrie the first time round!
