Exciting? I don't even know what bluddy day it's supposed to be! A cheap out for route B for the editor & the chance for Ruth to say that "some things are more important", as Pip lies (hopefully) dying, after being electrocuted tomorrow, or is it today, or is it....Oh I don't know!
A new low for The Archers. Is this seriously the editor's idea of good radio drama? It's confusing, shouty tripe. The only floods will be the flood of long term listeners switching off!
It does seem these floods are very localised in place and time.

"Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Borsetshire anymore."

It's kicking off!!

Worried about Scruff. I hope he's ok

Perhaps the long game is for the whole of Ambridge to be relocated to Walford.

I can't tell what's going on, who's involved and where they are. And it was too loud and shouty. Did Charlie drown? Or was that gurgly coughy sound someone giving him the kiss of life? Think I'll just wait till it;s all back to normal. Don't really care who's drowned as long as it's not Scruff

It does seem as if these episodes have travelled back in time to last year?

That's really mad. The BBC can be so up themselves sometimes.

And we end the week with the most puke-inducing exchange ever heard between David & Pip, FGS haven't we suffered enough!

I can see their point as it does seem to have drifted more than a tad from its remit as an everyday tale of country folk.

Ok I haven't listened to the Archers for a while (was cross about Tom Graham being sacked, and the absurd storylines)

Just tuned into the omnibus now. What on earth is going on?
So Druth aren't bloody going after all (Oaa noaa Dayvid), and the 'new road' seems to be fudged.

As I'm listening now they are all on some farcical intrepid boat trip in the flood, while Ambridge sinks below the water.
What a load of implausible drivel.

Everyone is still wailing.

Just drown the whole lot.

"She hasn't got her nightie" (oh the pathos!)
"Ambridge needs you"

Words fail me.

I hate this new 'sensible' Pip even more than the old work-shirking one.

It does all seem 'Somerset levels'... one year too late.

"Ambridge needs you".
Those must be the two most cringeworthy lines spoken in the entire 60-something years of Archers history.

Very, very weird week. I can't help feeling there's a message but am at a loss as to what it actually is. We've already had David's road to Damascus moment with the diaries which by the way was anyone else reminded of the J R Hartely ads with David rushing round after his play farm just me then Anyway we really don't need another of these moments

Does Freda Fry ever speak or is she one of those characters who's only ever referred to?
