Did anyone listen to the Archers Extra. Brenda and Dimitri was a bit risky I thought. Anyway, don't tell me what happens in the omnibus edition, I haven't listened to it yet. Darrel is becoming very annoying.

I like the show, it's a bit hit or miss for me as it obviously depends on which characters they are focusing on in the stories

I'm glad that this thread seems to be popular, even though I only resurrected it, I'd be interested to know how long other people have listened, I am 45 and have been listening for three years, although I did used to listen on Sunday mornings when I was 14, I remember this Clarrie the first time round!
I have been listening since about 1959/60

Wow! do you think it's changed an awful lot? Or do think it's just evolved naturally?

I've been listening to it for the past 5 years or a bit less. Now that I listen to radio 4 I came across it by a happy accident.

I've heard bits of episodes over the years, but started listening regularly at the end of 2010/Nigel's death.

I was not happy about them killing of poor Nigel. Oh the one who drove me mad was Jude. Him and Pip the most selfish couple ever.

I remember this Clarrie first time around too - it took me ages to get used to the new one when she left. I've started to listen again - though I'm not up to date - after not bothering for a few months. Sometimes I don't listen for years, but I seem to always go back. I listen mostly on a Sunday morning.

I love the Archers but have about 9 omnibus editions to listen to before Christmas.

I missed a lot of stuff though.

Can anyone let me know if only one llama die or did all of Lynda's Llama's die.

What is happening with the Paul/Lillian/Matt storyline.

Did Alice and Chris move away because of the job she was interviewed for on Skype.

It has changed an awful lot! it used to be more about the farming and there was information for farmers. Now it is more about the youngsters, and stupid (imo) storylines!

I think I started listening around the time that Emma had her Hen Night, stopped for a while and came back around the time Lilian first met Paul when Matt was in prison. I think it had a huge dip over the last year but is coming round again. I'm hoping that either Will or Ed rescues the other in a cider shed fire started by Darrell.

Oh and RIP Darrell hopefully,

I love the Archers! I started tuning in in 2004, and I've been hooked ever since. It's much better than the TV soaps (even though I like a few of them) as it's consistently good, whereas the TV soaps go through good and bad patches.

I used to listen as a child before we had TV, then missed for years , but have been a regular listener since 1974/75, always listen to the omnibus edition on sundays.
Finding Ruth/David a bit boring lately. and cannot stand the Carters, still love Clarrie/Eddie/Joe, but Will & Edward get on my nerves

Was quite surprised to find out that the current Clarrie was the first and fourth, didn't know that her replacement committed suicide before the longest standing third Clarrie took over.

I wonder whether they are making Jess so nice so that when the truth comes out Rob will look even worse

Is Rob really that bad though? He made a mistake is all surely and in very difficult personal circumstances. Helen always knew he was married and was a bit silly, but then she is to think it was going to work.

I think Jess is insufferable tbh. It's almost like she knows what went on and is torturing Helen

I agree that I don't expect Rob and Jess to have a future, Leonie and James are wetter than wet though!

Looks like it is Jack who is this year's seasonal final exit. Too similar to Phil's though.

It was a lovely episode though, Just staying a bit longer holding Jacks' hand, obviously going to be a goodbye .
