Hazel was a Slitheen. I can't get the image of that out of my mind when I hear her. it fits well with her Archers character.
... and she's also odd Aunt Babe in EastEnders.

Rob going to the meeting instead of Helen looks like has plans to cause problems for the Archer family.
Yes that was part luck and part Rob sneakiness. The way he is manipulating them all is masterful It looks like not only will he get his way over having a modern looking shop but he'll be running the gaffe too. Pat has really fallen for the Rob speil.

Surely Helen must be detecting the sudden mood changes in Rob. He sounds scary when he puts on that voice.
He's always had an edge and the way he manipulates her she is always dealing with him rather than questioning him.

Forgot to mention anyone understand why Jill is having to leave the farm? Ruth's mum is taking Pip's room and Jill would surely be of immense help like she is now cooking for them and all sorts. It's all very odd. Ruth is being incredibly irritating about it all as well. When Jill was speaking about going to look at her new room she went off in a huff. Her and David are like a couple of spoiled brats.

One would have thought a farm house would have more rooms. What will they do when Pip decides not to take the job which I have a feeling is going to happen but I could be wrong. David certainly doesn't want his mother to move.

Surely the two old bats could share a room? A few days listening to the sanctimonious, self-pitying drones of Jill will finish off Heather for good.

HeatherPet hasn't arrived yet has she? I didn't listen last night.
David has hinted she's too frail to make the journey. If she carks it on the M1 perhaps Jill can stay put.

Like other posters I can't see why Heatherpet moving in means Jill has to move out. Even if they don't have a spare bedroom couldn't they convert a barn or extend tne house or something?

I really think David should pay for whatever needs doing to the pub before the insurance work can start. The money can be taken from Kenton's share of the farm's value. I know that Phil didn't want the farm sold and that David was the only sibling interested in farming, but I can't believe Phil would want to see Kenton in such dire straits.

Kenton does need to stop feeling sorry for himself though - hope he's not going to develop a serious drinking problem. If he's not careful he'll lose Jolene, and then where would he be??

I don't think he should. Kenton's problems are of Kenton's own making. He's a grown man whining and sulking like a child.

True BUT they have a room They've already guilt tripped themselves over giving Heather Pip's room so unless she shared with Jill which I'm sure wasn't the case what is the problem. One of the things Jill has been crucial for is helping out with food etc so now that they have an elderly frail Heather to look after they get rid of a helping hand

I agree and maybe this is how it will pan out. However, Kenton is still going through his 'I don't need help from anyone' stage and David his holier than thou stage

I know Kenton was stupid to spend the money but David did mislead him. I agree David should help him to pay for the pub repairs.

Urgh Rob so disturbing tonight. Sentimental overload yet all designed to get Helen to say how worthless she is and how lucky to have Rob as a husband.

It's all leading to a reconciliation and fraternal sugariness I think.
This was hinted at the other day when Harrison was giving Kenton his homily about the importance of 'famleh.'

What did Rob do to Helen to upset her so much? My guess is he rode bareback, determined as he is to have a child.

Helen is upset. Hopefully she does something about it. I am sure she said 'no'.

Helen is really upset at the opera. Something is not right. Did he spike her drink? The creepy Miss Giggly comment makes me think she knew he is upto something.

Rob laid on a romantic evening for Helen, lots of booze, and it got very passionate. It seemed that Rob couldn't wait to go upstairs, and Helen seemed to say 'Rob' in a concerned way. Then we hear in the next episode a subdued Helen. Hence my suspicion that he was trying to get her pregnant.

Do you think he raped her?

Don't quite understand his preoccupation with getting Helen pregnant. Is it just a control thing so that he would get to take over her work?

No, I think he went ahead unprotected, which upset Helen. Although she may have resisted more, which is rape if he persisted.

He's the type who wants to sow his oats I reckon, conceited, selfish and wants to leave his genetic legacy so mini Robs of the future can carry on like Daddy.

Also, having that gorm Henry as a stepson is beginning to grate now probably.

Kenton spending the money has nothing to do with the fact that the pub was underinsured and had already been damged by a water leak in the cellar. It's down to Kenton!

Yes, marital rape. She was drunk and felt ill and said no. He went ahead and forced her.

Really dark stuff.

I'm just catching up now. What a nasty man However new meek and mild Stepford Wife Helen will feel that he's entitled to his conjugals whenever he feels like it.
