Is Charlie just tired and drained from trying to cope with the situation or is there the suggestion he has caught something off the sick cows?

Same here. But would anyone be that evil to put all those animals through so much suffering - it would be national front page news. We see news items about the RSPCA taking people to court for ill treating dogs and cats - what would they do if someone murdered 40 cows? He`d be lynched. I reckon its going to be botulism from geese poo.

I'd put nothing beyond the blackguard. |

I can't believe anybody would bother about Charlie. He's been a nasty piece of work in the past. Rob may have done something nasty, but Charlie has never seemed that sympathetic a character to me.
The other thing is David in particular bleating about milk prices and the like. He could have sold up for a mega profit, and shared the dosh out among his family. They would have all been quids in, and not had to worry about the day to day difficulties. 6 million goes a long way. Is there any sympathetic character in the Aldridge's at all. Brian, Jennifer, and the obnoxious Kate all deserve one another. Poor Ruarhi, I say. Helen needs a fairy godmother to appear very quickly, or she will suffer drastically in the end. |

Fallon's sussed there's something up, and I think we might soon know the fate that befell poor Scruffy ....
Rob's Mr Nice-Guy pretence is nearing its finale, I think. |

Emma sounds just like her mother, and is pretty thick in my opinion.
I didn't understand the dead dog thing at the end. Would having it in their barn make the cows ill? How come nobody's found it before now?? I really hope it isn't Scruff - though it sounds like it would be hard to identify. Helen seemed all under Rob's spell again tonight I thought she'd seemed a bit doubtful and puzzled about his behaviour lately. Oh well, she'll get there in the end I guess ![]() Didn't see your post MinuteMart

Ha ha ha!
It is funny how Henry has 'word repeating syndrome'! Maybe he'll grow up to be like Fred Elliot, the butcher in Corrie..."I say, I say!" He shouts everything and always sounds like he's jumping up and down. How could Rob want to be involved with Helen when that irritating little brat is part of the package

I think Rob probably put the dog up there. Revenge on Charlie maybe. But then I think Rob is mentally ill. I have a nasty feeling he is going to do something horrible to Helen and Henry.

It does make you wonder where this storyline will end up. The only saviour for Helen will be Adam and Fallon. Where's Ian in all this?

Re the dog - I wonder if, not only Rob put it up there, but perhaps killed it too (or should I say killed Scruff as that's who I think we're supposed to deduce that it is) |

BIB - is being a sociopath a mental illness?

I wasn't clear whether the dead dog has got accidentally tangled up or had been purposely strung up?

If the dog is Scruff I don't see how/why Rob would have killed him. Scruff went missing during the flood at the start of March but Rob was working at Berrow Farm until the middle of August. I can't see why Rob would have wanted to poison the cows whilst he was still working with them. I can easily believe that Rob would have wanted to sabotage the dairy once he had left but if Scruff was still alive and living around Ambridge in August wouldn't someone have spotted him and returned him to Lynda?

Perhaps Rob will get injured on the hunt
![]() Nice bit of paralysis, undignified. He then gets wheeled around to Peggy's every day where she provides him with morale-boosting sermons for hours ![]() ![]() Then wheeled to the counsellor where he has joint counselling sessions with Ruth (who'll be in permanent "Ooaah noaah me mam" wail-mode). Then a few hours of Henry 'taking Daddy for a wheel' in the duckpond, and then a bedbath from a stern and thick-set district nurse called Marlene, who has a skin complaint. |

Well if the dog is scruff, what will Linda say when she knows he was responsible for all the cattle dying? Not her fault but she has a petition going to close the farm down.

Charlie seemed to be of the opinion that the dog (or parts thereof) had somehow got caught in the forage harvester and thus ended up in the silage. I guess a decomposing animal in silage would make the cows ill when they ate it. This doesn't ring true imo. A forage harvester chops grass etc up and discharges it down a chute, and then it goes into a silage clamp. I can't see how a dog's pelvis and hind leg can still be intact after going through a forage harvester and not block it or even break the harvester. I still suspect foul play. I think Rob found the body after he flounced out of his job at Berrow Farm and thought "This will come in handy". |
