So you want Adam to be a cheating scumbag?

He already is a serial cheating scumbag. Just happens to be on a break on the moment. Anyone would think Brian was his real father.

Oh lordy Helen is standing barefoot in the garden babbling on about shoes.

I think I do really

Is Rob behind this sleepwalking thing of Helen's, or is it just a lucky coincidence for him? I noticed he keeps telling her she's forgotten things too. Is he drugging her? The sinister so and so even seems to be trying to separate her from Henry

He really is chipping away at her autonomy now

Why can't she see this???? Midwives always tell pregnant women to try and carry on as normal (unless there is a medical problem) so Helen should now he's talking nonsense.

My mum is taking an Archers break atm as she can't bear this storyline anymore. I can see why - it's really insidious and creepy.

Me too. I want them to have their sordid bonks and get together so that Ian can finally dump Adam and get a partner who will treat him with respect.

Also for Adam to go through a prolonged process of realising he's traded a bar of gold for a sack of cat sick.

I don't think he would drug her whilst she is pregnant. He really wants this baby, I don't think he would risk harming it.

I think deep down she does see it and that is what has triggered the sleepwalking.

I agree with Malwen - he wouldn't risk drugging her while she's gestating his demonic spawn.
I think he's driven her to unsettled sleep / nightmares etc and is capitalizing on this to make her even more confined and cut off.

He's separating her from the rest of her family too. He's isolating her so that she has to rely on him more and more. He's going to start niggling away about Kirsty too.

Ian does deserve better than Adam.

I wonder if he'll separate her from the baby too when it's born. Insist on bottle feeding so he can do most of the feeds.

I wondered if she was going to confide in Kirsty when she was crying.

Listened to the Omnibus this evening in the bath, horrifying! It is the best storyline in donkey's ages. The very fact that we are even thinking drugging is just, yikes, I mean this is The Archers! I wished for her to 'fess up to Kirsty too, but she's probably not ready to recognise just what a mistake she's made, I mean all she did was fall in love with a sociopath, she wasn't to know, poor, daft girl.... I count the days until he gets his comeuppance! Perhaps disappearing into a combine harvester? Nothing is too gruesome or horrible for Rob! Something tells me its going to end with a nervous breakdown for poor Helen and a traumatised Henry. All of your suggestions about the baby are terrifyingly believable, there is just no end to this man's villainy is there? I expect it'll be back to square one for Bridge Farm as well. Christmas is going to be truly hellish and that's before we even account for Lynda Snell's annual theatrical production....

I can't imagine Kirsty with Roy. He always seems a bit prematurely middle-aged to me.

It IS creepy imo. It reminds me a bit of the old film, "Gaslight".

It's also quite realistic. I've known women reduced to nervous wrecks by controlling partners. It's worse than violence in some ways.

Tom and Tony find out what's going on, bludgeon him unconscious and throw his comatose body into the field for the pigs to eat.

Of course, that might lead to them losing their organic status...

Does anyone think the Grundys will move back in to Keeper's Cottage?

I was wondering about that.. Does horrible Hazel own the cottage? I thought maybe she'd had it done up so nicely so she could charge more than the Grundy's can afford and then chuck them out.

I think Helen should murder him while he's asleep, and then Tom and Kirsty can cut up the body, run it through the mincer, and make sausages out of him.

Rob takes out his bad temper on Tony's new bull which gores him quite badly and then runs about in its field for a while with Rob impaled on his horns. Unfortunately Rob loses too much blood to survive

Rob's goading of the poor creature is witnessed so the bull isn't destroyed.

Yes, Charlie needs to get into his kilt again - Adam likes him in that

When Rob was saying "OUR farm, OUR business" I was shouting at Pat to say to him "It's not YOUR farm Rob", but she's got too ruddy spineless too.
