I think she's probably collapsed from lack of food. Either that or the drugs The Evil One is slipping into her coffee have had an adverse effect.
He's obviously the one altering the orders and blaming her. And how vile of him to try and poison Henry against her ![]() ![]() |

Oh so she actually collapsed? Thanks, I wasn't quite sure what happened. This storyline surely must come to a head soon. Don't know how much more I can bear?!

I missed Friday's episode, so only heard it this morning. Friday's and tonight's episode made me so angry.
I just hope Kirsty talks to Pat or Tom and they all find out that Rob has been massively exaggerating how ill Helen is. His dreadful manipulation must get found out soon ffs! |

I agree. I feel physically sick when Rob starts his manipulation.

It is deeply upsetting and I think I'm switching off till the storyline is finished.
For me (and I stress it's just for me) they've crossed a line. Quote:

I think they've crossed a line too. Because however cathartic the final unmasking of Rob, it'll never make up for the hundreds of upsetting incidents and comments that we've been party too - unlike any other character in TA apart from Helen herself. Also, it's made us despise characters who seem wilfully blind to what's happening before their eyes. Her own mother. Henwy joining in the bullying and belittling. (Yes I know he's a kid and another victim of Rob, but I still can't help thinking you little g*t!) Very worthy of the writers to reflect what happens IRL, but it's skewed the internal logic of the drama, as not much else in TA is based on harsh reality. And if I hear one more "You look pale / tired.... No I'm fine.... It must be hormones.... You're overdoing things... Really I'm fine just me leave me alone" exchange, I think I'll scream. Well I already have! |

If the Bank of Peggy turns her down, maybe Pat will step in with some funds for Kate's business - she used to be a bit of an 'alternative' herself.
I missed Helen's collapse in the shop Must catch up.I'm still loving sinister swine Rob ![]() . No intention of switching off until the story's done and dusted Pat seemed a bit doubtful and worried this evening, Kirsty's worked out something's very wrong - so I guess Rob's days are numbered

Felt a bit sorry for the nice Fairbrother boy when he was just too nice to talk Matthew down, and when he heard Matthew had the weekend off. His not so nice brother could be right though, if he stays friends with Pip he'll be on the spot should she become available again
![]() Rob tonight ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I hope his mother gives him a hard time when she comes to stay. Wonder if there are plastic bags full of porridge and baked cod under Helen's bed.... |

Wassailing? How medieval.
Oh and there's a barn (or something) on fire too. Nothing like a good blaze to dry out the last traces of that dampness since the flood. May as well go the full Emmerdale now and drop an aeroplane on them all. ![]() Wassailing is still quite popular in January. I've been to a few around here, but we're deep in zoider country.... My theory on the Rob-Helen storyline is that they'll spin it out for the remainder of the year with a denouement at Christmas, but that Helen will have twigged a lot earlier than that and the outcome will come with a lot of planning on her end. |

It's interesting how particularly distressing people are finding the Rob/Helen storyline. Actually, the Archers has never shied away from taking on the occasional hard-to-listen-to sl - Greg's suicide, depression more than once (although I don't think they dealt well with it in Kenton's recent bout), Kathy's rape... so it's although it's not common it's not unheard of for them to tackle difficult situations. The fact that they don't flood the programme with dramatic sls gives it a lot more impact when they do, imo. Personally I believe it's a good thing that this sort of abuse is brought to light and I hope that at least some people who have previously thought of domestic abuse in a stereotypical way are realising that is not all about fists and black eyes and council estates.
I'm not sure about Ursula, I think she might turn out to be a good thing - there must be a reason they had her visit Helen without contacting Rob first a while ago. And wasn't it the midwife who was a bit suspicious earlier? They're certainly laying plenty of trails so presumably plenty of red herrings too. And there's always the possibility that they're going to go the whole hog and have Helen eventually kill him in self-defence, especially as he's turning his sights on Henry. |

Oh god, I can't take it going on til Christmas! I hope they start wrapping it up way before that. This week's was just skin-crawlingly creepy. And it would be ridiculous if people didn't start realising soon - Kirsty knows, Tom's got an inkling, surely. And once Rosemary's baby has been born, what excuse with Rob have to keep Helen at home, not driving? Pat will surely see how miserable she is.

So we are in for a long haul with the Archers and Robs cruelty. Well, every time I hear his voice I am switching off. I hate this storyline.

He's getting so much nastier that I can't see how they can keep it going for months. He'd have half of Borsetshire under his thumb by Christmas!
His speech about obedience to Henwy made my blood run cold. Surely to god he's not going to start on him? We need Carol Tregorran to come back. She'd see him for what he is, and poison him with one of her pagan potions. |

I hadn't noticed until you mentioned her, but where has she gone?
Nice to hear Kenton and Jolene all happy and loved up tonight. I like Wayne so I'm glad he'll be around for a bit longer too. Wonder how Rob and Helen spent Valentine's night. I hope he cooked her something really special and wouldn't let her lift a finger all evening ![]() Eddie was very annoying when he arranged for those cows to graze at Grange Farm. I hope it doesn't ruin things with Oliver for Ed
