What happened to Rhys?
I think I might have been on one of my Archers breaks when he disappeared.
Has he officially gone or just gone quiet for a bit?
He and Fallon split up as he got a job in Wales, he wasn't heard on the show in this story line, it was all from Fallon's perspective

Anyone else think that Adam has some underlying illness? He is tired all the time...

i remember that episode when john died. i was shocked, because it had not been leaked and nobody knew this was going to happen. i can remember tony holding john and saying something like 'my beautiful boy.' he knew he was dying and he could do nothing to save him. i also recall the end of the episode went silent, there was no music. silence. it was very powerful and it still brings a lump to my throat now.
You can listen to it again here at the bottom of the page.

That is what he told her. Which is why she went off on one and got herself arrested on the hen night when she saw him in a local club with another girl.

It's probably coming apart at the seams... something else for Tom to feel sorry for himself about!

He has gone though, hasn't he? He has been replaced at the pub

Rhys has gone now. The new barman is getting a good induction from Jolene according to Kenton

Kenton is my favourite character.

Kenton always seems much younger than he is - he's like a Peter Pan character.
He's in his fifties isn't he?

Love Kenton, he's such a one. Did anybody see Alan Titchmarsh show when it had Kenton, Jolene, Helen and one of the soundmen on? It was quite entertaining and interesting. I couldn't believe Jolene is actually American with a big broad accent, really surprised me.

Maybe they can call for back up in the form of Pip, it's been a while since we've heard her whiny tones. Looking forward to catching up tomorrow, sounds like it's been a busy old week.

Oh God no. The airwaves will implode if we have Tom and Pip moaning at the same time!

At least Tom is quite a sympathetic character. Pip is just an insufferable little madam.

'Pip' has three lines in June 2016, and has been given time away to get them right.

He must be 50 something, but you're right, he seems much younger. Are he and Shula twins? I'm really starting to like her too. She has a lovely voice and is a good actor I think; I'm feeling for her at the moment with Daniel off to be a soldier.

Pat - it's all very well weeping about your baby now, if you'd been a bit more understanding outside the church, when he needed you, perhaps he wouldn't have gone. You took Bridezilla Kirsty's side over your own son so you brought this on yourself. Getting all worried and caring afterwards was too late.

Oh, and if you're going to sink into depression again, can you do it off air please? Don't think I could bear to listen to it.

Agree about Pip, ........ just back off holiday and have just listened to last weeks' omnibus where dear Tom did the dirty on Kirsty.........no sympathy for him I'm afraid, he is as spoilt as most of the Archer children........can't wait to listen to what happened this week.......

Shula getting a bit emotional there. Dan is very much trying to assert his independence isn't he.
I guess Shula finds it hard, considering how she battled infertility to get Dan in the first place.

Tony getting on my nerves now, treating Pat as if she's a nuisance and badmouthing her to the neighbourhood. Parents are meant to be concerned when their child disappears, Tony. It's kind of the done thing.

Nice seeing Peggy intervening - she's such a wise owl figure
Is she? If she hadn't poked her interfering old nose in with the will Tom and Tony's relationship mightn't have deteriorated so badly.

It's Jennifer I'd like to tell a few home truths to. I've listened on and off for years and was always glad when Brian played away I started liking her a bit when she took on Ruori (sp?), but the way she is with and about Susan really annoys me. How rude to suggest the Carters' kitchen isn't good quality
I feel that it's completely out of character for her to be so gullible with that smooth talking kitchen salesman. She has always been the sensible one in the family.

Irrelevant imo. She can dispose of her legacy as she likes, and she made her decision.
It was Tony who threw his toys out of the pram.

It was also Tony who decided that the will was somehow to blame for the jilting, which we now know is rubbish as it has to do with Tom's feelings of inadequacy.

Why is Tony so cross about Peggy's will? Did she leave all or most of her dosh to Tom? What about Helen, and Jennifer's lot?

Tony's not coming over at all well just now. Enjoyed Pat telling him to shut up yesterday Is a new actor playing Tony now? He sounds different.

Greed, dressed up as 'concern' for the beneficiaries.

Yes they are though completely diferent in character. David is their older brother and the youngest is Elizabeth who was a real wild child in her day and whose best friend Caroline had the reputation as the village bike. Amazing they are all now (not Kenton obviously) pillars of the community,

Thankyou.

I remember when Elizabeth was wild I think. Used to spend a lot of time at Nelson's wine bar. Caroline has been around the block a bit hasn't she? Did Jenny ever find out about her fling with Brian? (another village bike )

i agree. she is not jill. peggy is so interfering. she may come across as a wise nice old granny type, but i could ring her neck. can't abide her.

the twins kenton and shula are the oldest, david is the middle child and elizabeth the youngest. although the way kenton acts, you would think david was the elder brother.

It was shula and caroline that were best friends, elizabeth's best friend was debbie and of course she had a good mate in nelson.

i agree caroline was a bit of a one in her time. i don't think jennifer has forgiven her for what she did. i still think there is a bit of tension between the two.

It was shula and caroline that were best friends.
I meant in more recent years. Wasn't there a bit of a falling out between Shula and a lot of the village over Usha marrying the vicar and Shula flouncing off to another church? Always a bit of a prig just like Peggy and both hateful characters in my book.
