I meant in more recent years. Wasn't there a bit of a falling out between Shula and a lot of the village over Usha marrying the vicar and Shula flouncing off to another church? Always a bit of a prig just like Peggy and both hateful characters in my book.
i suppose with the history between shula and usha and with richard they were never going to be friends again. poor alan stuck in the middle of this. peggy and shula are made from the same cloth.

i agree. she is not jill. peggy is so interfering. she may come across as a wise nice old granny type, but i could ring her neck. can't abide her.
She'd be straight off to Dignitas if you had your way!

I've always thought Shula was a prig - though I thought Usha was pretty spiteful when all the church stuff was happening. Just lately though Shula has seemed ok and I sympathise with how she must feel about Daniel joining the army. I'm already worried he'll be sent to Afghanistan and be killed, so what must it be like for her?
And yes, I do know they're not real

'Twas back to the usual Ambridge amble in today's ep, i.e. cake judging, village fete, and Linda being Linda. |

Tony still being a complete dickhe@d tonight.
No TB on Bridge Farm - good thing, but he just seemed to be overjoyed at having proved Tom wrong.... a tad distasteful considering Tom might be lying in a gutter somewhere. |

I wouldn't say Tony has had a complete character transplant but he does seem to have changed for the worse since his illness.

Amidst all the drama, hand-wringing etc that is surrounding the ghastly Tom; Ben etc, won't someone please spare a thought for the man who is really suffering, without complaint (well, slight exaggeration there) in The Archers
I'm talking about Brian and his sciatica. And, if that wasn't enough, he's having to put up with the kitchen re-fit, too. What a noble chap he is |

Why is Tony so cross about Peggy's will? Did she leave all or most of her dosh to Tom? What about Helen, and Jennifer's lot?
Tony's not coming over at all well just now. Enjoyed Pat telling him to shut up yesterday Is a new actor playing Tony now? He sounds different.http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/thearcher...ew-Tony-Archer |

I didn't even know about Johns existence until the last few days
![]() I took it that as the only son he felt it was his place to continue with the family farming tradition but is now questioning it all and wondering what he could have been/done. |

What happened to Rhys?
I think I might have been on one of my Archers breaks when he disappeared. Has he officially gone or just gone quiet for a bit? |

One other thing. A long while ago either john or tom was in a relation with haley, who was doing a load of work with the pigs, i think.
At the time i thought she had been treated really badly, as it seemed they got rid of her to avoid giving her a share of the business. She and roy are very happy. I doubt if roy wants to have a fling with lizzie. |
