My bloody hair!

I'm so fed up with my hair in this weather. It's naturally a frizzy, curly, wavy mess, and mostly I leave it alone. If I'm going somewhere where I can't really stick it up and out the way and actually have to look half decent, then I straighten it. My hair's really thick so it take ages to dry it (I mean ages), then even longer to straighten. I don't spray anything on it or put anything in it (other than shampoo & conditioner, natch).

My problem is that as soon as I step out the door, after spending so long taming it -- poof! Explosion of frizz and curl and mess. I have tried various sprays and gels and waxes and mousses in the past, but that just makes it so much worse -- not only do I have insta-frizz and mess as soon as I step outside, I now have it sticking out in weird shapes and styles, because apparently even the tiniest amount of product in my hair goes mental at the first sign of wind, rain or sunlight.

What can I do?? I'm going crazy with it. It's all very well and good having lovely smooth hair at home -- why won't it stay put in public?

Sadface.

You could try a salon straightening treatment. They are supposed to last about 2-3 months.
Also Charles Worthington has a home straightening kit you can buy for about £12 which is supposed to last about 6 week.

There is one for coloured or non coloured hair.
