Printing from iPad 3 ... Why make it so hard?

Can anyone help..

I have a printer connected to the network via a Windows7 Laptop.

Every other device can print to it apart from my new iPad.

I have tried Google Cloud Print but its not practical for printing anything other than your google stuff.

My printer has no wifi or AirPrint.

I tried a AirPrint hack that's supposed to work but the iPad can't see the printer.

Bloody apple! My android s2 prints it's stuff fine.

I use printer Pro, got it free when they did a free offer some time back.

Install the the Printer Pro lite app first to test it working for free.

Its the best print utility I have found for the ipad and iphone.
Prints great on my non wifi epson printer.

The airprint hack does not work since ios 5

Thank you so much! I can now print from the iPad. I had to install the desktop helper as it could see the printer on the network, but couldn't print without the extra pc app.

This is the first thing that has worked!
Don't know why they can't make it more easy.

I think printing will be addressed with iOS 6 because having the AirPrint feature built into new printers to print is not feasible for a lot of people. The AirPrint feature needs to be simply software based and not requiring a new printer.

definitely the solution I would have recommended regarding third party apps, printer pro is ok but print by Eurosmartz is good one

glad you got the problem sorted

AirPrint saves the need for individual printer drivers but support ATM is a bit low.

Luckily my Canon printer has AirPrint so it's not an issue for me.

What do you feel are the advantages over Printer Pro?
All these printer apps seem to use the same techniques.

My reason is, a consultive exercise is taking place, I rejected it as it was mainly aimed at Android, (im ios and win based) but I was asked if I knew of any app developers supporting enterprise customers and I must admit they were not flagged up in what research ive seen presentd so far, although they seem to fit the bill from looking at their site.

I did flag printer pro as it is what i have used myself and feels well built.
