Chasing the Sun by The Wanted debuts at #93
How We Do by Rita Ora debuts at #90 (I reckon RIP will do very well too).
Let's Go by Calvin Harris rises to #66
Lights by Ellie Goulding rises like the 15th consecutive week (not sure how many weeks, but a lot) to #14 making her the highest placed Brit female along with Adele since Leona Lewis' reign in the Hot 100.

Alex Clare's Too Close remains in the Top 100 and Calvin Harris's Feel So Close is at #22.

Meanwhile Glad You Came (The Wanted) and WMYB (One Direction) still remain in the Top 10.

The Brits are not doing too bad, are they?

I am so freaking happy for her, currently standing at no.11 on the iTunes chart. If it breaks the top 10, then she'll be on the home page and will rise even further.

Just goes to show, that through hard work and playing sessions in radio station after radio station and in-store gigs and any tv appearance she can get, you really can succeed.

It's actually quiet surprising in the last few years the amount of British artists that have actually cracked into the Top100 in the US.

I'm quite surprised about Ellie Goulding, how comes it has taken over a year or so for Lights to firmly move up on itunes? Has she been promoting on TV?

The main reason that Lights shot up in the past couple of months is because radio stations started playing it, including one of the biggest stations called Z100 or something.

Also, Lauren Bennet from Party Rock Anthem is British, and she got a #1 last year!

And Cher Lloyd is also just outside the Hot 100 now.

Also One Thing by One Direction has risen from #74 to #61.

Slightly off topic : is Lauren Bennett a pussycat doll now ?

La Roux got #8 with Bulletproof in 2010 so Ellie is fourth behind her

People often seem to forget that Brits have usually had a lot of success in America over recent years, such as Natasha Bedingfield, Snow Patrol, Joss Stone, Coldplay, Amy Winehouse and Corinne Bailey Rae, KT Tunstall, James Blunt, Jessie J - i think the list probably goes on and on, but you get the idea - really glad at how Ellie and Rita have done recently, hopefully Labrinth, Tinie and Ed Sheeran can have big breaks out there soon

Ed Sheeran and Olly Murs have their singles (A-Team, Heart Skips A Beat) floating around the iTunes top 300 there as well, I suspect both will be future top 100 hits.

Tinie's Written in the Stars was huge over there, so he is known out there.
