Will anyone now take Cheryl Cole seriously?
After her, quite frankly, embarassing performance at the queen's jubilee concert, and her muscling in to get that undeserved picture oppurtunity with the queen, and along with her mimed performance on The Voice, I think there will be a backlash of sorts...or do you think people will still blindly buy into her 'celebrity' status?

Why do we need another thread on her?
I like Cheryl, but the people who hate her read more things about her than I do! |

she lives in a permanent backlash as far as i can tell. People have been complaining about her singing ability for years. There was never a frontlash.
I quite like her though, she keeps going and having success and it winds people up

I personally don't think so but I bet her new single and album will be No 1 anyway  I never understood the whole "Nation's Sweetheart" thing. I think she's rubbish as a solo singer but she was tolerable in Girls Aloud. That said, I did like 3 Words and Paracute from her first album. Stand Up from that album was ok too.

Of course she'll be #1 on both singles and albums. For some reason she sells - I don't like her voice but plenty of people obviously do.

Yes I am 'for real' please tell me how you think it was deserved??
All we needed was Katie Price on the other side of the Queen and the cast of TOWIE behind her to copmplete a lovely picture to the world of what Britain is all about. You're dismissing all the people because they dont have what you feel is "talent". But in reality a lot of them have self made their success, Katie Price even though she annoys me, I have to give her credit for making millions out of what she does. And Cheryl, the public voted for her on popstars: the rivals and the public buy into her singles and albums. Just because you don't like someone doesn't mean they have no right to be where they are and therefore you dismiss themm. We, the public are what keep cheryl where she is; and whether you like it or not, she will successfully get a #1 next week. Just like she is #1 on Irish itunes. sorry but you have to realise it's all subjective, especially in the music industry. |

Well she is currently sitting at number 1 on the songs and album chart for Call My Name on Itunes Ireland.
As for her muscling in on the photo opportunity, she explained that they were all lined up before the Queen came on stage, and the Queen stood in front of her, it is hardly her fault. |

she didnt mime thought. Fair enough we have our own eyes and ears but the most reliable people are those that were actually in the studio. Everyone there that has spoken about it, said she wasn't, so i'll believe them

She knew exacly what she was doing stealing the limelight.
Reeks of desperation like Gary Barlow did for a knighthood. The Queen probs did not know who she was.

As Will i am would admit she mimed? There is no way Cheryl could sing live and do all that choreography her performace sounded idencial to the record version.
And if she was completely miming, will i am wouldnt be stupid enough to go out and say she defo wasnt, he'd just stay quiet on the topis. But it's unfair when someone is being slated for something they shouldnt be |

But if she was lying, she would be just about the only person in Britain to not know who she is cause the rest of the royals do Kate, Harry, she is often seen with Charles |

"stealing the limelight"? Yeah I forgot the part where the BBC/Sky/the world's coverage became Cheryl's ****ing Jubilee (although tbf, she's far more deserving than that Lizzie bint). I saw no such limelight stolen and I doubt a single photograph of millions taken are going to convince anyone but yourself otherwise. Go listen to happy music, all of you. And let shit music be shit music. |
