I think you are probably right. I also think that Conor and the epilator rant, was a defining moment. It made anyone who was his friend a huge target and so started the whole Good V Bad thing. Poor Arron wasn't even sitting with him at the time, but in a lot of people's eyes he was guilty by association.
It was like that with Jay last year, except that was the shit in the freezer thing. Once that happened no matter how nice Jay was, or how funny, it always came down to 'I couldn't support someone who shits in the freezer'.
Just gave myself a real fright. Accidentally wandered into the Aaron appreciation thread instead of this one. I need a sit down and a brandy.

I really think that if Conor had gone instead of Arron it would have been a much more positive and happy house.
