Yet people don't buy her solo album. Surely if you hate someone's voice why listen/buy Girls Aloud material when it's Nadine's voice that's on most of their material?
People are strange as Jim Morrison once said

Her solo album was poorly promoted and marketed
I don't it was the case of her as a person

Who said they hate her voice? Perhaps they just didn't like her solo material.

I agree. Her solo single wasn't my cup of tea but I loved Nadine in GA. Songs like Biology wouldn't have been the same without her voice

I think in Nadine's case - she needs a pretty good record label, that will promote her well. Her solo project was poor for her. However, it's evident that vocally, Nadine is the backbone of Girls Aloud. She's obviously the strongest singer, who's voice carries the group.

She should've beat up a toilet attendant, then become a WAG, & then become an X-Factor judge - then her solo album would've done as well as Tweedy's.

Her solo material was pretty bad bar a few songs, she did barely any promo, had a shoddy deal with Tesco of all places and just doesnt have that star quality that other girlband singers have, though her voice is pretty great, not as good as Nicola's but still miles better than most girlband singers.

Seeing as Nadine was the only one who could sing

But allowing only Tesco to sell her album still baffles me.

The whole release of the album was pretty bad - the Tesco arrangement. Plus, the material was simply okay, but hardly anything too great. I agree she has a great voice though.

Nicola, on the other hand, is somebody who I didn't really rate in Girls Aloud. However, she completely won me over with her album, which really showcased her vocals as well.

Nadine has a great voice, but the material for her album was just bland and boring for me. If she makes another album, I'd still be interested, no doubt.

I always thought Sarah was underrated, her "Here I am walking Primrose" part in "The Promise" showed she had the capability of more if they just gave it to her.

I love Nadine's album - some great songs - Runnin, Put Your Hands Up, Unbroken (showing a different side to her voice), and the gorgeous Natural should've been single #2

The best songs on that album that do not get enough attention bar the wonderful Insatiable of course.

Runnin - should have been a single http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZOhhbewFZ0 This would get anyone's attention

Put Your Hands Up - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=amRSS...hannel&list=UL HIT HIT

Raw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ACLL...hannel&list=UL Amazing notes, i get goosebumps.

Rumors http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SnNCCIFC8ic This relates so well to the treatment went through

Lullaby http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pwpZ1RxEUAs Very catchy.

Red Light http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=poj4Rb6-J8U Making my reputation for making music, not for magazines! Snide..chezza

Chained http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t24-1wvxflE Has a good ring to it.

Unbroken http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rvdznoS5hro A little different it,but like this,

Hands up if you bought a copy,i did single and album..

What singles would you have released

I would have done
Runnin
Insatiable
Put Your Hands Up
Rumors (if we're allowed a 4th).

PPS How incredible are Runnin, Rumors and Put Your Hands Up! i get goosebumps. She did good here, a songwriters album - no one distinct style and abit long with a few not so strong songs but overall very goods.

How could you just sit on a song like Hands Up...Tesco should have had it in the contract that she had to split the money they gave her between three singles and she had to release three. The tesco deal ruined her...her album is not on iTunes or spotify!

Maybe because she's not as talented as some are quick to give her credit for? Being The Voice of a girlband is one thing, being able to blossom on your own is another. Personally i always thought nadine was overrated form the start. She can obviously sing but she was pretty much cast as a juke box in the band having to belt on any tracks given to her. Her parts were beginning to be predictable as the releases went on. As a solo artist, I'm not surprised she failed. Not only because of the badly thought promotion but also because the material was dated, dull and forgettable. And she didn't seem to have a clear artistic identity. One minute she positioned herself as the "singer" with "Insatiable", the next as a wannabe Lady Marmelade/Dance music Queen with "Sweetest High"...It just didn't do it for me.
I think Nicola in a way stole Nadine's thunder with her debut in a sense that she showed there's more to her than being the easy target in the group for being Ginger. The album might not have sold successfully but it's fresh, forward-thinking and creative. Compared to Nicola who was a bit of a revelation, I just thought Nadine has been over-hyped for no real reasons.

Nadine produced a really good album.

Her problem is she said she would not dance or do any moves. A bold statement, its boring just watching her sing...look at Cheryl!

Not signing to a major label who are experienced in marketing/PR/promoting was a mistake. Not going with the tried and test girls Aloud management was another mistake. She choose two free spirited managers based in the USA who dont have much weight in the Uk.

Again i agree, non artistic identity. she needs to stick to one sound. the songs on her record where good but just all over the place and not ground breaking. i like the Runnin' type vibe that worked for me. I am not even mentioning the randomness of Sweetest High but going to the nightclub like that was just wrong! who advised her that this was good?

when she came over to the UK, she made no contact with her band mates to meet up or any real effort to do so. They obviously got the humped and made a pact to blank her. Yes she text Cheryl and she didnt text back twice, so its not totally her fault. Again she hasnt once come out to support the girls in their solo projects, even when she was in the UK. she's been painted as the baddie in the band.

She hasnt done anything in any context of other avenues, or endorsements to get her face out there. She just sings and makes that statement, she only diD Next top model because her solo career failed and she is exploring other avenues, i didn't like some of the bold statements she came out with when she originally went solo.

Maybe its not her...maybe its just that Cheryl got lucky thatshe made her name for herself with the ashley gate anD X Factor, and that she is so no less or more popular than the rest of the band. Nicola flopped with label and management and i would guess that Sarah AND Kim would too. she's not hated, she's one of the most popular...Its the rare exception that breaks out of a band and gets a solo career, Robbie, cheryl, beyonce, kelly rowland, ronan keating, it would have been nice but it seems Cheryl is the one from this band. Actually having Cheryl in the band is a good thing, she keeps the rest of the band relevant so their is a clear advantage being in a band with her.

not embracing the passions series during GA she could have used it, as her building block for getting songwriting going. she signed with EMI universal i heard and they tried to forceher to do jade ewens album and just revocal it, some good songs are on there i admit. But that was unfair and i dont blame her for getting the hump and walking out. Maybe they should have had more faith in her, she could potentially have been as big as leona.

I don't get Nicola's voice at all. I wouldn't have put her in GA - should've been Javine and Aimee instead of Nicola and Kimberly....they only made it into the top 10 cos Hazel was too old and another one dropped out

They're lucky but don't really bring much to the group.

Girls Aloud had promo and huge platform pop treatments for their videos. Nadine's voice is fantastic, but her management wasn't that great, the director, treated her like meat for the video and her album needed a lot more exposure. Maybe next year.

Nicola is an amazing singer, she just wasn't really given the chance to show off until the last two albums. If you watch the Tangled Up and Untouchable tours, you'll see just how amazing it is. (But of course I understand that not everyone has to love someones voice, but still, Nicola is a very good singer).

And on posts about GA on Digital Spy, Nicola and Kimberley always seem to end up being the favorites or the group

I like Nadine in Girls Aloud but her solo material just doesn't do it for me. It sounds out of date.

I could imagine Insatiable doing well in the 1980's but not 2010 when she released it.

insatable was the wrong single red light was really good sweetest high wasn't bad nadine did some promo such as
paul o'grady, studio five & this morning.
