During the process of her recording the new album, after she was axed from X-Factor & while she was still in LA, there were repeated stories of her meeting in studios with people like Rihanna, Christina Aguilera, Usher etc. However, her album only has collabs with Will.i.am (which isn't surprising) and Wretch 32. Not exactly the huge artists that were teased.

What happened to these collaborations? Was it all just rumours or were the songs discarded for what is on the final track list. If so, it seems like a huge mistake. Collabs with bigger stars would give her bigger exposure in the US which always seemed to be the goal this time around.

Although I think Call My Name is a great song, by herself I doubt it would garner much attention if released state-side.

Most of these rumours were just those really, to create hype and keep Cheryl's name afloat during her time out to record the album. Plus working with Christina Aguilera is dangerous territory - she'd blow Cheryl out the park if given the opportunity to belt out a chorus or something! The Will.i.am duet was inevitable really, they always work together.

The Christina one was really out of nowhere! The Rihanna one was a bit questionable too but more believable because the two women have made contact. But as far as I know Xtina and Cheryl have never really acknowledged each other.

Christina and Cheryl were seen having dinner together, which to some people meant they MUST be without doubt be collaborating.

Besides her sugardaddy Will I Is. Which credible person wants to associate themselves with Miss Tweedy.

Some of the collaborations could've been things like songwriting (for example, she collabed with Taio Cruz, in the sense that he wrote a song for her).

not to mention calvin harris. yes, i heard rumours the song was offered elsewhere first, before anyone corrects me, but she`s got the song now all the same.
