Speaking of plays I do wish Eric & Ernie were still around and could be called.

Norman in the Commons saying Tories are "incandescent" about the "betrayal" by the Liberal Democrats, especially as none of this would have happened if Vince Cable hadn't said what he did to the under cover reporters.

Interesting.

Quote:
3.29pm: Guardian News & Media, the publisher of the Observer, has just released this statement following Alex Salmond's remarks earlier:

Mr Salmond first raised the matter of an alleged unauthorised access of his bank account with the Observer's editor last year. The allegation was that a journalist working for the Observer had accessed his bank details in 1999. As we explained to him last year, on the basis of the information he had given us, we have been unable to find any evidence to substantiate his allegation. As our response to him at the time made clear, we take this allegation very seriously and if he is able to provide us with any more information we will investigate further.

Guardian News & Media is also the publisher of MediaGuardian.

And especially since Cable got massive support when he was in the doo doo.

He is entitled to criticise them

And he has detailed his meetings and no bowing or scraping went on in them.

I suppose the journalist could have just made a lucky guess about the amount in Salmond's account.

It could of course have been someone in the Cayman Islands.

It was the fact that they found out that he had bought something in a toy shop and Salmond got told that they got excited thinking it might be a sex toy shop.

In fact he had bought a present for a child in the family.

If ever there was a paper twisting in the wind not knowing who to blame from one day to the next that they've got a "wet" Tory PM propped up by a Lib/Dem it's The Telegraph.

As for Rowena Mason...there's still a "page no longer available" on an on line article on the "hacking/Leveson saga" she wrote which contained not only a major inaccuracy but a potential libel..though.I doubt I was the only one contacted the Telegraph to point it out. Or that the initial correction was as bad if not worse

If that's true, Salmond pulled a fast one. He had no influence over the bid.

Beeb cutting from Leveson to Commons for the vote.
Con majority should 26 assuming all LDs abstain and all other parties vote with Lab.

It's pretty clear that a Scotland seperated from the UK suits Murdoch's interests though.

Norman has just stated that Hunt is fire-proof

It would...it's the same reason he hates Europe...it's easier to "pick off" individual or isolated governments/small countries than large institutions.
