I don't get it, all I did was make a statement of fact regarding how online gambling (well, even offline gambling) works. So what are you questioning?

I was simply questioning your statement "Online games (along with things like slot machines and bandits) are rigged - legally - to give the house favour", and asking the reason and the method.

Been eligible for over ten years, played for the first time this week. Didn't win anything. My brother always seems to win £5 or £10 on scratch cards though, I think he won £30something last week on 2-3 cards.

A random number algorithm does not suffer from the prejudices I described above regarding choosing numbers.

Although ultimately from a human programmer, the random algorithm could choose 1, 2, 3 and 4 as a sequence for the lottery where as a human would be highly unlikely to choose that because they don't believe it could ever come up.

The odds however, are equal for all combinations and independent each week. But this doesn't change the fact that if you do choose as per my description in the previous post, you are excluding certain possible combinations that are perfectly likely to come up.

If you want truly random (or as close as you can get), get a bag and choose balls randomly without looking.

1,2,3,4,5,6 is just as likely to occur as 1, 15, 19, 25, 26, 48. But people would never pick the first combination.

I read somewhere that a lot of people do just that,123456, but advice is dont do them as they will be sharing with a lot of others
