Orange and Galaxy S3
Anyone received they phone from orange.

I ordered on 30/05 and arranged to pick it up from my local shop on the 07/06 as I was off work. The shop did not have it delivered so I rang up and said it had only just got back in stock and I would have it by Saturday (no email telling me this)

Just rang them and was told another 8 working days, really wondering if im been fobbed off and maybe should order from someone else.

It seems that there are still stock issues through some channels, notably through the subsidised channels.

Buying it SIM free and get a SIM only plan is always an option. £500 from Amazon, and it's in stock with the option for guaranteed delivery on Monday.

I haven't received mine yet either. I ordered it last Saturday as an upgrade. I rang Orange yesterday chasing it and was told it would be 7 to 10 days.

What colour did you order? Blue appears to be causing the most problems.

The white one. Didn't think there were any issues with this one. But I guess there must be supply problems as its a popular handset.

Just been to Carphone warehouse in Sheffield where they were very helpful demoing the white phone which is available from stock but the guy said blue ones have all been recalled due to paint problems but they will return in blue later this year !

What a fantastic screen if only all my mates would not laugh at me with a girly phone !

Hmm, well...the blue one is more purple. More of a reason to have a laugh I feel. Im glad I went for the white one.

If it ever shows up that is.

Mines not the slightest bit purple in any light (except maybe a purple one).

I was told up to 30 days wait on mine last Wednesday, so was rather surprised when it turned up at 10am on Thursday, and even more surprised on Friday night when I got a text from the network apologising to me about the delay on my phone and that they will get it to me as soon as possible..........

The problem with the supply of white phones now is that so many people cannot wait for blue so are being offered and taking the chance to get a white instead.

As for the phone, it is absolutely brilliant, there is no other way to describe it.

I was looking at a blue demo unit in a Vodafone shop yesterday and it looks absolutely nothing whatsoever like the photos in my opinion (which is a good thing I think!). The actual colour is far more understated and I think it look terrific. I also felt it's far more solid feeling than the S2 which just felt a little bit cheap to me (although others will no doubt have liked that slightly flexible back cover).

What? I have a blue next to me that my 17 year old daughter has abandoned and gone back to her iPhone4andI can assure you its BLUE not PURPLE.

I'm looking for something purple to take a photo of it next to, to show the difference.

Strange, SG3 sales haven't even hit targets in the UK and I know for a fact you can walk into any CPW and get one right now. Cancel your order and upgrade via CPW. You'll also get a free xbox360.

I think a few networks got stung with the Samsung Galaxy s2 under selling so won't make the same mistake. I mean be honest....Do you know anyone with a Samsung Galaxy s2 or s3?

Lol, well it looked purple ish in phones for u. But it doesn't matter. I would settle for any colour atm.

Is this the one you bought 2 weeks ago on release day? when no blue phones where available.

Orange have told me it will be 3-5 working days before I now get my phone

Seems orange are the only one that have ran out

This is a joke right? More people i know have S2's and S3's than iphones. Iphones are old hat now. Yesterdays news. People are bored with them. Seems to be only kids that have them now.

Nope. Both o2 shops in Dundee and CPW have none.

So if everywhere has sold out and people are waiting for them, how has the S3 not hit its targets??

Rang orange yesterday. They told me they had run out of white handsets and the person i spoke to said she didn't know when they would get more in. But the blue one would be available from 18 June.
But this is orange saying this, so it may not be accurate.

Im new to orange so unsure how they work, I rang up Saturday and was told 100% I would have my phone for Tuesday.

I have heard nothing and my order status has stayed the same as it has been throughout.

Im not getting my phone tomorrow am I?
