Candida or intolerance

I made a topic other day about excessive mucus and that.
I have been searching the web and found that too much candida/fungus can be cause of problem.

The thing is its basically telling me not to eat anything fruit, veg, beans, pork, just a full list and I'm thinking oh my god what am I meant to eat.

All i get is mucus and I think it is acid related as I took an antacid and havn't been coughing up nothing.

I notice if I eat creamy cheese or cheesy pastas or certain alcohols it gets worse and my mood will go down.
Also I have eaten toast and drank milk possibly every single day to no fail but in last year this has got alot worse though I have always had nasal problems.

Has anyone tried a candida type of diet? or should I just go for wheat free and gluten/dairy free at first.

Try dropping dairy first, give it a week.

I would try a dairy-free diet, or at least eliminate cows milk which is commonly known to cause mucus. (Or try goats milk...)

"Goats' milk is non mucous forming and can actually help neutralise mucous too. Goats' milk can provide dramatic relief for catarrh sufferers and children with constantly 'runny noses' can find a switch from cows' milk to goats' milk can bring almost instant relief"

(quote from a website)

Or eliminate both wheat and dairy and see how you feel, then gradually introduce just one or the other to see how it affects you.

Edit to say - my son suffered from eczema when very little, we tried goats milk and whilst it didn't have a particularly dramatic effect on the eczema, he much preferred it - he's almost 10 now, still drinks only goats milk and has never had a single day off school - I don't know if this is the reason, but it seems to work for him)

OP - hi, I suffered Candida throughout adulthood. It stopped without trace 5 years ago, when I began low GI eating for borderline diabetes. Just my personal experience, but there's a lot of variety you can eat, and I lost (and maintained) 3 stone too.

What food was you mainly eating and which would be best to put weight on as I am skinny and tall and wanting to put on more weight ,

It says online not to eat many fruits or drink fruit juice because of sugar , did you eat fruits?

I don't usually drink alot of sugary drinks like cola or put sugar in my tea usually have it without if not one tspoon.
