The Irish Sun says Nicky has signed up to appear on the show. I'm inclined to believe it because the journalist is Jennifer O'brien and she seems genuinely close to the lads also the article is an interview with Kian & Nicky which appears to have been taken over the last few days.

Well perhaps not all four but it would be interesting if another one signed up............perhaps Shane Filan might like to throw his hat in the ring?........ Now he's been declared bankrupt and he's wanting to launch a solo career!

Karen interests me too , they would look a sexy couple . We are yet to find out about her choreography skills and teaching yet . I think she will be given a ringer this yr though as bbc will want to showcase her as the only new pro

Yeah I agree that Karen will get a ringer and I'm hoping there is more than one young male with potential, so that there is enough to go round... At least 3 males with good potential would be good although Nicky's fanbase will probably see him alright, and with good dance ability and a good pro he would be unbeatable IMO.

Totally , he's a nice guy too . Got winner written all over him with his large fan base . Hopefully we will get a few more like him so it won't be as cut and dry

I think if Matt Lapinskas gets on board then he will have Karen (he's a bit of a ringer in the same way that Jill Halfpenny and (I suppose) Matt Baker were).

Prime contenders for Mr Byrne IMO are the three shortest girls: Flavia, Ola, and Kristina.

I don't think he'd look right with Flavia tbh, so between Ola and Kristina for me.

Kristina showed what she could do with a good and (relatively) popular celeb last series, whereas I don't think Ola has really had someone who was both good and popular (Chris Hollins excepted maybe, but as much as I liked Team Cola, I think their win was more down to an Anti-Rickalie vote).

For me, Ola would get my vote. However, she would have to up her choreography or she'd be out.

I know we don't need much more convincing, but a friend has just told me that in the Star they've quoted Craig Revel Horwood as saying he is looking forwards to seeing Nicky dance. I can't find an online version though, but apparently it's just a small quote towards the end.

I'm looking forward to seeing him dance. Who do you think would be the best partner for him rose?

I know some will disagree but I still say Flavia - it will look a more interesting partnership.........personally I think although Ola and Kristina would suit him too and am sure would do very well with him......it wouldn't be as exciting.....I think Flavia is more hungry for the win!

For me Kristina - she had her only good celeb last year- and she is a good choroegrapher with it

But seriously Aliona is 5ft 5 so possibly slightly too tall maybe just about level with him in heels........but the producers would have to be seriously lacking in imagination to pair her with him!.........and I honestly don't think she'd look right with Nicky anyway........he would suit Flavia, Kristina or Ola because they're better for his height and frame!

Flavia is an excellant choreographer too though.......it's just been ages since she's had a chance to show it with a contender.........I've got nothing against Kristina and I will be happy if she gets Nicky but she had a blond Aussie 'pop star', last year.......so if she gets Nicky it'll just be so similar except he's a blond Irish 'pop star'.........and again I'm not against Ola having Nicky but she had one of the big signings last year in Robbie Savage..........when will it be Flavia's turn to get a good partner ? and I know people will say it doesn't matter about fairness but to me it does!

If I remember rightly the year Flavia had Jimi, he wasnt the shortest male celeb (? Paul Daniels anyone). I think that height does come into it but is not the only factor that decides partnerships.

It doesn't have to be - there's no reason to me why either Kristina or Ola couldn't be paired with Sid - Paul Daniels was about 5ft 4/ 5 and he partnered Ola and I John Saergeant was on the short side too and he was Kristina's first partner................I think Sid might turn out to be ok and he would be popular but obviously I'd rather Flavia have Nick ............Flavia has already had 3 EE actors so it would be a nice change for her to have pop singer

I think as well it was the year after Ola had won - so maybe giving her a duffer and someone apt height came into it, hence she got Paul Daniels

Wel going with that it is time Aliona was given an older male celeb rather than young fit males

Sid might not turn out to be a duffer though.......obviously he's not as good a prospect as Nicky but I don't think Sid would look mismatched with either Kristina or Ola.........those two have recently had their chances to shine and Flavia hasn't.
