sorry if this is trivial but does anyone have any tips for reheating a (supermarket) bagette?

Bought it yesterday, forgetting we weren't having the stew it's to go with til tomorrow. I usually bung it in the oven a few minutes before eating when we have it the same day, but not sure this will work 2 days later. Anyone got any tricks, or do i just chuck it ( hate wasting it)and try and get some on the way home tomorrow?

Stick it in the oven for a few minutes, we do it all the time with al of our bread, the next day, or even the day after sometimes, always brings it back, its worth a try . Some people sprinkle a tiny amout of fresh water on top to help the cispening.

A Jamie Oliver tip is to get some greaseproof paper and scrunch it up and put it under the tap to get it soggy.
Then wrap the bread in it and put it in the oven for about 10 mins.

Or instead of the greaseproof, run some paper towel under the tap, wring it out and wrap the bread in that before popping it in the oven.

Works well for those part-bake rolls and baguettes, too.

You can run your hands under the tap and moisten the bread that way (ie run your hands under tap then whatever water you have on your hands, rub it over bagutte, make sure the whole baguette is slightly moistened), then pop in oven for about 10 mins.

I often do this, always buying too much baguettes.
