After listening to the X Factor theme tune a good few times, it sounds to me like Simon Cowell's voice is used for the bit where it goes "The X Factor" in that kind of robotic voice.

I think this gives Simon an unfair advantage because we asociate his voice with the X factor and this is subliminally making people vote for his acts,

Yep, we always comment on that in this house.

Also he says "somethink" rather than "something" which I find really annoying.

Find it irritating because he comes over as reasonably intelligent and as soon as he says, "Rowetta has a certain somethink ..........." he sounds like he should be working in Mcdonalds rather than making millions.
