Always hated Shreddies when I was a kid as it was like trying to eat your way through a bowl of cardboard.

I'd never bought them regularly because i thought they were mini shredded wheats..............but I got some recently because they were on special offer and was surprised that they were little squares............obviously I had them confused with something else !
quite good.............I actually bought another pack after I'd finished the first one but it's probably a cereal I'll only buy when it's on special offer |

How are they healthy? If they are healthy eat nothing but shreddies and see how 'healthy' you become!

My kids used to love them, I've always loathed them. I prefer porridge myself .
My so called 'kids' now eat toast & hoummous , bran flakes porridge etc.

I'm quite partial to the sainsbury's own brand ones with apricot or blueberry filling. Just wish they did them in a bigger box size.

I always keep an eye on sugar content when buying cereals and Shreddies are one of the lower ones, plus 100% whole grain, so as cereals go, they are one of the better options - as part of a balanced diet, of course!

I love Shreddies, I like them very soggy. Unfortunately I also love them with about a ton of sugar on them so not such a healthy choice for me!

I just brought some Lidl's Malted Squares.
Just the same as Shreddies but cheaper. |

Shreddies and banana- doesn't get any better! Best meal for either breakfast , lunch or dinner! But in do prefer the diamond shaped ones to the usual square ones.

I was on holiday with someone who worked in quality control for shreddies (Pippa???) and she was saying the bane of her life was making sure they all separated so there were no doubles / trebbles etc. She was surprised when I said that one of the joys of eating them was finding the joined up squares and a real highlight was getting a twelve.

The Aldi ones (Harvest Morn Malted Wheaties) are just as good as the real thing, and only 99p for 625g.

I love the frosted shreddies but hate Kellogg's Frosties. I've tried the choco ones too & they're rank. I like the normal ones too with sliced banana or raisen/sultanas & a bit of honey
